THIS SHOP USES RETREAD TIRES!
I went in to replace four old tires with used ones, I figured getting used tires in relatively good condition is a cheap and good alternative to buying a new set. They brought out 3 «identical» seemingly new tires and a fourth, older tire with different tread than the other 3, but I didn’t think much of it after seeing that those were my only good options. Right off the bat the three newer tires looked good, there weren’t any cracks or anything, the treads were thick, and the manufacture date was within 2014. Despite those being used tires, the manager still wouldn’t lower the price, selling the newer ones at $ 60 each and the older one for $ 50. he insisted that individually these tires would have sold for $ 75 or more. I asked the manager what would happen if the tires had a problem as soon as i started using them, and he insisted that because they’re used tires I will receive no warranty. Since they already begun work on my car I figured i’d just hope for the best.
Here is where the fun begins. After a bit of driving (maybe 3 trips), I took the car out on a particularly hot day, with my whole family sitting in it. Suddenly on the freeway (driving at around 75 mph), the front left side of my car body broke apart, causing a hideous metal scraping noise while i pull to the side to discover the tread on the front left tire completely gone, and the fender around the tire horribly bent outwards like shrapnel in an explosion. the left side skirt was almost completely taken off the car, dragging by literally the last screw held behind the rear left door.
Turns out this was all due to the tire being a retread tire, and placed on a shelf for the majority of its retread lifespan. The rubber looked good in inspection, but because it’s been sitting in a dark warehouse untreated, it immediately started to lose its structural integrity on the hot asphalt. In addition, the retread on retread tires is fixed onto the tire with low-​quality adhesive that would never hold in a normal driving environment. The tire that broke apart is in fact one of the newer, better-​quality tires out of the 4. The treads came loose, ripped my fender and surrounding body apart, and put my family’s life in horrible danger. I shudder to think how long it will take for the other tires to follow suit. Because the shop wouldn’t give me anything for this because they were used tires, I wasted $ 230 on a full set of death-​traps that could give out at any given moment, AND pay out my pocket for the auto body damage repair, as well as an entire set of new tires to replace them. They completely lied about the quality of the tires and hid the fact that they were retreads. Not a single used tire sold by this shop comes with a warranty, and all the tires are stored in debilitating storage, carrying huge risk once they’re put on the road. Careless businesses like this handle material that put countless lives at risk, and should not be allowed to continue their practice until they make SERIOUS changes.

I came in looking for used tires. They quoted me $ 90 for 2 tires, including balancing & installation. This was the cheapest I found in the east bay. When I got there they had a really good pair of tires with deep tread. They quickly put them on my car in under 30 minutes. Then when finished, they charged me $ 10 less than quoted. I’ll definitely come back again the next time I need tire services.

Bought brakes and rotors and they put them on for real good price. I would come back to have brakes done in the future.

DANGER!!! THIS SHOP ADMITTEDLY FILLS ALL CARS/​TRUCKS/​ETC WITH THE SAME TIRE PRESSURE OF 40 PSI REGARDLESS OF MANUFACTURERS RECOMMENDATIONS, IF THEY FILL THEM UP THE SAME AT ALL!!!
Went in because i had a busted tire, no big deal. Wound up having them replace two for the front and keep one as a spare because one of the original tires was slghtly the wrong size.
I paid $ 40 each for the two new tires. As I drove away I got on the freeway and immediately noticed the very noticeable shaking at 55 mph as well as strong pull to the right. I pulled over, checked the tire pressure with my digital gauge, and found this:
45 psi left front (new tire
27 psi right front (new tire)
33 psi left rear
36 psi right rear
Also found two different brands of tires that were supposed to have been the same.
I obviously adjusted them all to the recommended psi of 27 (cold). Helped the problem about 30% but still shaking at 55 and pulling.
Took the car back to the shop, baffled at the fact I had to go back at all, they had no explanation as for the range of psi upon leaving there, but they offered to give me two used MATCHING tires and balance them, for a $ 20 service fee. I didn’t want to pay it out of principle sake because I believe they did NOT balance the tires they put on my car at all, but I did anyway hoping it was just a fluke and that all would be well.
Left the shop, checked the tire pressure when I got home which is only a couple miles away. Found this:
43 psi left front (2^nd new tire)
29 psi right front (2^nd new tire)
36 psi left rear tire
I gave up at this point and went back to the shop.
Asking if it’s too much to expect that my tires all be filled the same and CORRECT psi upon leaving a TIRE SHOP, the manager of sorts asked me «what do you want them filled at?» I said «the manufacturer recommendation on the inside of the gas cover is 27 cold and 4 more than that if warm.» He said, «40 is better.» When I asked him why 40 is better, he said…“WE ALWAYS FILL TIRES TO 40 PSI ALL THE WAY AROUND NO MATTER WHAT KIND OF CAR/​TRUCK/​ETC IT IS.” I said, «it makes no difference about the weight of the car, or the type of car, or the type of tire?» «NOPE 40 ALL THE WAY AROUND ALL THE TIME. WE ALWAYS DO THAT. IT’S FINE.»
Well it only makes sense that tires overinflated by 10 lbs especially in rainy weather like we’re having can be absolutely hazardous due to losing traction with the road.
I adjusted the PSI to what it’s supposed to be, but couldn’t get my speed up on the freeway high enough to check the balance yet, so that remains to be seen.
Needless to say I’m pretty shocked at the whole thing.

I love this tire spot. I always come here to patch my tires. They last for ever. I went to Walmart before and all the other tire places. They don’t know what they are doing. They hire a bunch of rookies. But B&J you can’t go wrong with them. #1 tire spot. Safe and easy loocation

I’ve been bringing my cars here for years. Their customer service has always been consistently good and you can’t beat their awesome prices.
I recently bought a set of used tires for my Civic at $ 35/​tire.
Within a week, I had a slow leak, I don’t know if I ran over something or if it came that way but they rushed me to the front of the line for service and did not charge me for anything. Couldn’t be happier.

I have been here numerous times. Never once have they tried to overcharge me or sell me something i dont need. They are honest polite and good at what they do.

I called about a wheel and tire I needed for my truck and when I showed up they looked at me like I was an idiot. I literally got there an hour after I spoke with them and they CONFIRMED with a price and everything and then had absolutely nothing for me. I even confirmed the number I called with them. Seriously, thanks for being a pain in the ass of a company.

They have fast service. I went to get a tire patched rtice and paid $ 10. I went again a 3^rd time but this time I paid $ 15. They seem to not have a fix fee for their services and for that I give them 3 atars

15 minutes before closing and they took me in to replace my two from tires that were bald to the point of popping, they took me and had fast friendly and cheap service. I came here to get a flat replaced a couple of months ago and will continue to come here! Great place! I didn’t have any price problems on used tires every time I’ve come it has been the same and I’m a college student on a budget so the deal is important!

WORST EXPERIENCE EVER!
I took two of my 19 inch wheels for them to mount and balance on two of my own tires…
I drove in the lot and one of the employees directed me to park inside where they do the tires…
Luis the «boss man» came up and quoted me 25 $ each wheels… I said okay and unloaded the tires off my car. I stood there for about 20 minutes and Luis came back and took my wheels off, then told me its 35 $ each because its a 3 piece wheel, i assured him its a one piece and even pointed out to him its a one piece and if it was a 3 piece, dared him to go ahead try take it apart. he totally ignored me and said he knows rims and its 35 $!! He said think about it and walked off… I really wanted to leave but i already did the work of unloading my tires and both wheels are off…
I had errands to run and just wanted to get it done even tho he upped the price. so I agreed.
He then made me stand and wait for another 20 minutes while he tend to new customers and ignored me when I called for him.
Finally he told one of his employees Eric to take care of my tires… he went and unmount/​mounted my tires and then something happened when he tried to balance my tires… I can see and hear Eric talking to Luis in Spanish… Luis then walked over to me and said he can’t take the center cap off because he doesn’t have the correct Allen key, I went to take a look and was in shock! They freaking broke my center cap! Apparently Eric was not experienced enough to know there was 2 screws that needed to be unscrew before popping it out…
I pointed it out to Luis that Eric broke my center cap and they needs to replace it for me. First thing out of there mouths was «it was already broken!!» They continued to deny it and Luis walked off to help other customers without fixing the problem!
I chase Luis down and demand they pay for the damage or give me a replacement… he said no because they didn’t break it and then ask if I saw him break it! I told him I didn’t see him break it but it wasn’t broken when they first took off my wheels. Again, he walked off and talk on his phone… I was left standing there with no help…
So, I decided to take down their names and photograph the issue… I notice they had a government Better Business Bureau sign with a number, so I began to dial the number to report them… They notice I was calling the BBB, so Luis came over to me and said he doesn’t want any trouble and gave me 2 options… pay for the service and they order the center cap or don’t pay and leave and don’t come back!
I said I’ll pay and they order it, but the part was discontinued… so option 2 was the only choice… they put my wheels back on without balancing it and told me to not come back!
I’ve been coming here for over 10 years, and this is how they treat me… I was polite the whole time, maybe that’s why they wanted to cheat me! Freaking scumbags!

They were nice enough when I got there, but they were dishonest in my experience there. I called earlier in the day, and asked if they had a used set of tires for my Outback. They said yes, and they would be 40 dollars each. I arrived an hour later, and they went to grab my tires. They said they didn’t have a set, only four different tires, and that they would be 45 dollars each. I told them I was quoted 40 each for a «set», and they said the price was according to quality of tire, yet they only had those 4 tires. So they didn’t have a «40» dollar tire available for me. I could care less about price, but I am a stickler for integrity. I bought them anyways, as this is a hardly used car, and going elsewhere would have costed me more in time.

5pm on a friday I found my car with a completely flat tire. After changing to the donut, almost nowhere was open. Found these guys, and they had me in and out with a repair in under 20 minutes for $ 15.
Would have given them 5 stars but when I checked the air pressure after the job, it was 10+ psi over the tires recommended max… minor fix, but potentially dangerous if I didn’t catch it.

I have to second all the good stuff people are saying here.
My car was stolen and abandoned in Oakland, and I needed new tires to get it home (they were slashed). These guys sold me four used tires for my beater vehicle, installed, for 140.00, plus a new rim and fifth tire as a spare for another 50.00. I think they were open to negotiation on the price too, so try it, but i wasn’t in the mindset.
I made the deal ahead of time, and when the tow truck dropped off my car, their staff descended on it like an pit crew and I was out of there in 15 minutes.
They were definitely working on higher-​end jobs than mine, and I would definitely go back under better circumstances.

Although everyone else seems to have had great experiences with this place, I’ve had the worst luck. My brother and I both bought sets of used tires here a week ago. The service was friendly and timely, but that’s not where my problem lies.
I live in Concord, so after having the tires put on, I drove home and stopped to get gas. As I was waiting in line for the pump, the right front tire deflated suddenly. I barely was able to pull up to the pump, and trying to get over to put air in it was impossible. I was almost driving on the rim. We went back to B&J, and they replaced it free of charge, courteously. The next day, I was driving to a friend’s house, and my left front went flat going through downtown Concord. I was stranded, and once again, we had to take the tire back.
Last night, again at the gas pump, I noticed that my left rear had a huge bubble in the side, after driving home through town from work. They’ve agreed to take back this tire, too, but geeze!
Great service, but I can’t say I blame them, for what’s happened to me.
¾ is not good odds for reliability. Sorry, B&J.
In addition to that, they jacked up the car on the differential… What.

This is my go to place for tires and tire repair.
I’ve been patronizing this establishment since 2003 when they were located back on 55^th and International.
I’ve never had to wait more than 1 minute when I pull up before an employee would greet me.
The usual time it takes to replace a tire is about 10−15mins.
Way faster when compared to Big O who quoted me an hour and 15mins to replace 1 tire.
During lunch today I noticed that my rear left was super low on air, basically a flat.
Thanks for the nail in my tire 880S.
I only have an hour for lunch and luckily enough my job is about 13 mins away from B & J tires.
So I filled up my tire with some air and drove on over to B&J tires.
There was no wait at all.
They repaired my tire for $ 10…and I tipped the guy $ 5.
I was in and out of there in about 14mins.
