Ballet Arts Lynette Defazio

Five stars for the diversity! I took adult classes from Ms. DeFazio fall of 2007 and met dancers from all walks of life from architects to stock clerks to Supreme Court lawyers to waitresses. I met the most interesting people and danced in her Nutcracker.
I was a little put off by Ms. DeFazio’s strict demeanor and obvious favoritism at the beginning, but most dance teachers are like that. I guess its good for you. She’s cuddly on the inside, when she gets to know you better. So stick with it. Its worth it.
Her studio is a little hard to find because its all tucked away in the Oakland hills behind her house. Its nice, like you are visiting a rich friend who has a house with a view. I’d still be dancing there now if I hadn’t moved across the bay and down the Peninsula.
