Bay 1 Hour Cleaners

Have used this cleaners for awhile now. Location is convenient for me, and usually their prices are reasonable. But today I picked up my shirts and for one of them they charged an extra $ 4.75. Not total, but EXTRA $ 4.75 for one of the several shirts. When I questioned the lady she said in her monotone non-​customer service tone, «extra charge. Shirt linen. Had to iron by hand.» I didn’t even remember this shirt, that I have had for years, was linen. But it was. I have taken this shirt to many cleaners, including this one before, and never had this happen. I understand an extra charge for something that requires special handling; but that should be discussed when I drop it off, or call me if there is a special circumstance like that. I was miffed. She was not even pleasant about it. One lady that works there is quite nice; but this one in particular isn’t necessarily rude, but has a very dull and dismissive tone. Normally I don’t care much; I am not there to be charmed. But this interaction really irritated me. Even a «sorry for the misunderstanding“would have smoothed it over;but her robotic manner and disregard or disinterest in pleasing a customer was annoying. I was dropping off several more shirts to be cleaned but I politely asked for them back. She seemed not in the least bit concerned that she was now losing business. Don’t think the owner would appreciate her lack of customer service skills.

Sitting here in front of the store fuming. Brought in a pair of slacks to be hemmed for a performance I am dancing in and tonight is dress rehearsal and pictures. The woman promised I would have them by 5pm tonight as I specifically told her I had to be in San Anselmo by 6pm. Well I arrive at 5pm and she plays dumb like she hardly recognized me and they sent my pants out to be hemmed and they werent ready yet. It’s 5:45pm now. The dress rehearsal can’t start without me because I am the main character, so their incompetence has affected not only me but 30 other people. Never coming back.

Very disappointed! The ladies are not friendly at all… After I walk in they say hi and still make me wait 5 min to serve me … Then bring my shirt back with a stain left on it … When I asked why they didn’t clean it they said they didn’t see it and didn’t know I wanted the stain removed … Duh lady if I had u take all the freakin stains off my suit why in the world would I want to wear the suit with a stained shirt. ??? So much for customer service … Going to find a better place to clean my clothes…

Been using Bay Cleaners for a while with no problems. A coupe of days ago, I went to put on a suit that had just come back from them. Both buttons on the jacket were «broken». Still attached, but cracked at the top. I brought the jacket back to them and told them I did not bring the jacket in with broken buttons and I asked them to replace them. When I went to pick up the repair, they charged me for the replacements. When I reminded them that the jacket was not given to them with broken buttons they said it was because the buttons were cheap buttons. That’s why they broke. I told them it wasn’t the cost that was upsetting to me, it was that they were not taking responsibility for the damage. I don’t expect that a $ 1,500 Armani suit would have «cheap» buttons. I paid for the repair and did leave more dry-​cleaning. But I am very disappointed with them.

Getting 4 stars as a dry cleaner from me is a big deal! This is basically a «Woohoo! As good as it gets!» Their prices are reasonable to lower than average. Their attention to your clothes is IMPECCABLE! The staff is very friendly. I have never had a problem with their service.
However, I can not give them that fifth star, because they have been late on a couple of occasions with getting my shirts laundered (as in, they miss the scheduled pick-​up night). As I said earlier, this is not a problem for me as I live close by, but I wanted to reflect their occasional tardiness in the rating I give.
All said, this is the best dry cleaner that I have used in my 10 years of needing to use a dry cleaner for business attire. That’s worth something, right?

It was a quick and simple drop off at the cleaners. I used to go to a location in Alameda because it was close to home and the service there, wasn’t the greatest. They lost an item there and I received it a month later. This place is fast and efficient, and not to forget to mention, close to home. This is will be my new cleaners for now. I was greeted with a smile. The décor there is very outdated.

No-​hassle dry-​cleaning with parking steps away. Their prices per dress shirt is extremely reasonable ($ 1.25). They have abandoned clothing items behind the counter that funny when you look at it. For example, there is a comforter that hasn’t been picked up since the tag reading 2010. C’mon public-​at-​large, just throw it out or recycle it. I think Bay 1-​Hour should also toss it… it would reduce the clutter and make the feng-​shui flow much better… just sayin’

Very reliable; always do a good job with my cleaning; always ready when promised.
Friendly staff. They will go out of their way to accommodate your special requests. Excellent tailoring services too.
Open until 7 on weekdays and ’til 6 on Saturday, so they’re convenient to use.
They’re not cheap, but not out of line with other area cleaners.
And after you’ve picked up your cleaning, you can head over to Sparky’s (which they also run) for a burger. :)

Dropped off futon cover, paid 45, picked up the next day, and no major issues. Overall good cleaner.

I found my new dry cleaners! $ 1.50 for a fresh dry cleaned shirt, is my kind of place. I have a lot of dress shirts, suits ($ 12.95) and dry clean only… So, I’m gonna stick with Bay 1, for now on
Friendly service, affordable prices, fast service, and in-​house operation, what more could I ask for…

I’ve been going to this cleaners for years. Friendly employees, average prices and I have yet to be dissatisfied with a cleaning/​pressings. They always come through even if I need a rush. Thumbs up!!!

The woman working here earned the place two stars for being very friendly, but they were unable to get the stain out of my white table cloth (after keeping it for extra time o try again), so I’m not impressed.
