Bay Area Networking Consortium – B.A.N.C.

Let me share with you why I am so excited about the Bay Area Networking Consortium B.A.N.C. Each time I’ve gone to the Bay Area Networking Consortium Mixer, it just gets better and better. I am truly excited about this organization because it represents the collective mind– moving forward with good intentions, good information, and with purpose.
If you are in business and look to increase your customer base, I know your business will benefit from the information shared at the Consortium, and I know you will be excited about the caliber of individuals that are in attendance. For those that I spoke with at the Consortium are all of the mindset of being prosperous by helping others through their services and their network.

B.A.N.C. was founded by a small group of East Bay folks who believed that we could support each other and thereby support our own business needs by forming an alliance. This has proven to be consistently true! Over the past year, we have been able to grow our business as well as entered new ones. We are UNSTOPPABLE!

B.A.N.C. is a unique networking organization in the Bay Area. I was hooked after attending just one mixer.
Upon arrival, I was greeted by the President of the organization (Gloria Bailey-​Ray) who is the most caring, warm and welcoming person you’ll ever meet.
All the staff were extremely friendly; they went as far as to announce the first time visitors, took me around personally to begin introductions to the guests, and at the end of the evening, Gloria solicited my feedback and thanked me for coming.
There are thee things that really set them apart from other networking options:
1. They support a different non-​profit each month, such as coat drives for the homeless and canned goods during the holidays.
2. Meetings always include a moderated panel presentation (with open Q&A) and plenty of networking time.
3. They allow a member organization to give an «elevator speech» at each meeting. These speeches have resulted in attendees doing business with each other with success stories like reduced credit card fees and job opportunities.
As an independent contractor, I am watchful of marketing dollars and have to choose where I spend my educational time wisely.
