Becka’s Studio

I constantly get stopped on the street and asked where I get my hair cut! Becka is a sculptor who cuts hair! It feels like she is sculpting with her scissors– studying my profile from all angles and framing my face in the most complementary way. She is an artist, skilled professional, and in a class by herself.

Becka is absolutely the best hair stylist I’ve ever had! We’ve been through lots of different haircuts — all of them great! My most recent short cut has generated alot of compliments. Becka is also very, very good with color. I get highlights (to mask the incoming gray), which she somehow makes so natural and pretty. Her small, private studio feels serene and welcoming. On top of her incredible talent as a stylist, Becka is a really, really nice person. I highly recommend Becka’s Studio!

I’ve been going to Becka’s studio for ten years, and the first reason is that she just has that raw talent for crafting great cuts and color. She’s also attuned to people, so she can chat or be quiet, as the client prefers. She’s popular, so don’t hope for last minute bookings. The studio space is simple and cute, and it’s on Piedmont Ave., which means: arrive early to find your parking.

I found Becka through a friend many years ago when I lived in the Bay area. About 10 years ago I moved back to Seattle and have tried in vain, to find a hair stylist closer to home that I loved as much as Becka. I have fine hair that requires an experienced stylist to use all their skills — truly an artist who can knows how to shape your hair and not just cut it. Becka has been a stylist for many years and it shows. She uses her experience, her artistic touch and listens carefully to what you say.
Recently I was back in the Bay area visiting family and I had Becka fix a botched cut and color yet again. As always, she took the time my hair requires and made me happy to look in the mirror again. I get so many compliments when she cuts my hair! The only problem I have is how to get her to move to Seattle!!!

Becka is a fantastic hair stylist. He have been going to see her for years and she always make me look great… even when I think all help is lost. She listens to what you like and want and provides great recommendation on appropriate styles and color. All that in addition to the fact that she is just a great person.

I found out that the hardest thing about moving to a new city is finding the right person to do your hair. After two disastrous attempts at getting my hair cut and colored, I was fortunate enough to get a recommendation to Becka.
She was, in my case, a hair rescuer. She took a horrible cut and made it work until it grew out. She took a horrible color job and redid it with a painter’s touch.
She asked to see a photo of me on a good hair day — which meant before moving to California. Then she worked very carefully, listening to what I said I was used to and wanted again.
I can’t recommend her highly enough.

Becka is a true artist. She is just what I’ve always wanted in a hair stylist. She listens to what i ask for, but also has great ideas and I totally trust her creative artist eye. There are people who are good at cutting hair, and there are people who look at cutting hair as an art form. Becka studies your hair from every angle, how it curls or moves, how it frames your face, etc… and she bases her cut and her superb color on all of that. She’s also a lovely person and fun and interesting to hang with. She’s Awesome!!!

I have been going to Becka for haircuts and highlights for over 15 years! I have sent many friends and acquantances to her and all are still going. She is a master technician that excels at working with ones hair type in order for easy maintenance. I am so so glad I found her, highly recommended!
