what a hot mess! i lived in a property managed by barbara for 4 years. it’s all fine and dandy until you actually want something done.
this is by far the most unresponsive building manager one can have. she does not have email. she does not answer her phone. she will only call you back after you have called her at least twice. i got the best response from her when i wrote her letters complaining about the safety of the house. otherwise, paint, minor fixes, rodents… etc. you are on your own.
what pushed me over the edge to find a new place was the fact that it took over 3 months to put in new flooring for one of the bedrooms. yes, that’s right, 3 months of covering rent for a non-​existent roommate.
as for repairs, painting, plumbing issues, she always hires the cheapest guy around who does minimal work and does not clean up after himself. i suspect she pockets cash that the owners gives out for repairs!
trust me on this one. find a different property manager!!!
