This place needs to work on their customer service. I tried to make an appointment a week ago, which I was told I would get a call back. It’s been a month and after being told multiple times by the owner that they would call me back, nothing.

Here is once again another post on behalf of my lovely older sister and mother (whom it seems as though I live vicariously through more and more with every passing year)!
First and foremost the owner Andreya is probably the sweetest woman I’ve ever met. We have come here a couple of times for trims and have always been greeted with an extremely friendly atmosphere. She is also very knowledgeable and guided us through the appointment on maintenance techniques and what would look best on us! This place also perfectly caters to our multiracial background (South American and Chinese)! Its definitely hard to find a salon that understands how to deal with our hair, but they are absolute pros here!
My sister came in to get her hair dyed back to its original dark brown color. She had dyed it herself originally and was finally done with that fleeting hype. We came in at 5:30 and after a few preliminary quest (color, lenght, and amount of maintenance she puts in her hair) Andreya got started right away! About 2 hours later my Big Sister’s hair was so awesome! The color was exactly like her roots and it looked super healthy too!
Next up was Mommy! Who had concerns about her alopecia, but wanted a full sewn in weave. Once again Andreya started the appointment quickly and really listened to my mother’s concerns. The weave only took an 1 hour and a half, and Andreya was a great conversationalist (I’m pretty sure my mother didn’t even notice us slipping out to the store)! Her hair looked killer by the end of the appointment :)
Andreya never disappoints, she is so skilled in different types of textures and styles! A true aficionado of hair styling! Both of my family members were extremely happy and we will be coming back very soon!

IF you care about the health of your natural hair underneath your weave, STAY AWAY FROM THIS SALON !!! The owners husband has ruined the crown of my hair with his sloppy weaving with glue” technique”. He only addresses the way the weave hair appears! Leaving your natural hair underneath, dry and ignored at at best! If you want healthy hair, DONT GO HERE! If you do, make sure you only allow Andreya to do your hair, that way you just may leave with your hair on your head, not in your comb.
She hasn’t done my hair, but the lady’s I’ve seen leave her chair seemed happy.
I will be contacting the state license board about her staff, as no one goes to a salon to have their hair more damaged than before they received services.

This is my second time going back to this shop, and Andreya did my hair (color touch up). She was very professional, and knows what she is doing. She cut my hair with affordable price. I love this place, it is very clean which for that. Happy me Thx Andreya.

I walked in looking a HOT mess and came out looking gorgeous!!! It’s not often that I treat myself to getting my hair done in the salon, but I will from now on… I never received so many compliments about how good my hair look… The atmosphere is very relaxed and clean… The stylist that hooked my hair up was very professional and I will return to this salon (the owners husband), contrary to what the other negative review said…

Please do not get your hair done by Andreya’s husband. He ruined my hair. He was supposed to a simple flat iron and trim it. He cut five inches and styled it. The style was cute for 8 days. I washed it out and my natural hair was completely damaged. I have to wear protective styles for at least a year until my hair will be back to normal. It was so awful that I cried in the shower for an hour. Do not go to this salon.

I’ve been a client at B’Gorgeous since I moved to the Bay area three years ago. And no matter where I move, whether it be sf or the east bay I still only come to one place to get my hair hooked up! Everyone at the Salon does great work!

I moved to Oakland from Atlanta about a year ago and was in desperate need of an affordable, professional, loctician. I am SO happy I was referred to Andreya, I have been nothing but pleased since I started going to her about 6 months ago. Although she doesn’t just do Locs, I feel that my hair is in great care. The salon is friendly, professional and full of life. Great location near BART. After doing my own hair for awhile, I was so worried about sitting up in the salon for hours, I have been in and out in 2 hours or less (usually much less) every time I have been to the salon. A bit spoiled, yes! I highly recommend Andreya and B’Gorgeous.

I was a walk in to get started dreads. They were able to get me in same day. The customer service is amazing. Very clean, professional and relaxed atmosphere. I will be making this my go to place from now on. So glad I stumbled across this gem.

I went and got my hair done for the first time today and i absolutely feel in love ! Andreya the owner, hooked me up. The shop is very neat, organized and professional. I would recommended anyone getting their hair done to go here. And the do ALL hair types, so that’s another plus.

Sooo I’m not a big fan of hair salons — I want to get in and out — don’t have time to sit there for 3 to 4 hours looking at other women get their hair done and listen to all their woe is me stories. This salon is VERY professional — Andreya is the owner and also my stylist. She makes you feel right at home and you never have to wait!
I was concerned initially if she would be able to manage my naturally curly hair as other hair dressers sometimes do not know — however she is very creative and can not only flat iron my hair but style my hair in a way where it compliments me.
Since I had such a good experience I referred almost everyone I know — — she has done my friend’s children’s hair — ages 7 to 18 in appropriate styles for their age and is EXTREMELY patient and great with kids! She can also do weaves, dreads, and many other hair styles for other races as well — very multi-​faceted — not just a salon specified for a certain group of people — Andreya’s salon is for everyone. Most important thing from this review — AFFORDABLE!
