I cane here when I was waiting to get my hair cut next door. I was really hungry so I drop in. The front of the store has two doors. Why would you have 2 doors and not have a sign to use the other door. The décor is horrendous. When I walked in I was the only person in there at 12pm. I was too hungry to walk back out and try to find another spot. I looked over the menu. There was less than 30 items on the menu. Not much a big selection. I was really hopeing this place has some really authentic Cambodian food. There may be like 3 things that may be legit. There Cambodian noodles that looks like Vietnamese Phở, Cambodian noodles that looks like pad thai, and Chinese broccoli with beef that looks like what is it. I ordered the beef stew. And if you been at a Chinese restaurant. That’s pretty much what it is. But they were out of it. Really? How can you be out of something when you don’t have business. Fine I’ll just order Chinese broccoli with beef in oyster sauce. The picture in the menu made it looks really good. When I got it I was quite disappointed. Not what I expected and nothing like the picture. The sauce was not thick and was running around on the bottom. The beef looks super over cooked. I took my first bit and flavor was decent but was overly salty. I was pretty much all it is to it. Bottom line is stay away.

I wanted to try something different so I decided to eat some Cambodian food. I walked in, only one other couple was there. They looked like they were enjoying their food. We ordered the papaya salad, the special, and I think the Phnom Penh noodles. To be honest, the place stinks. It smells like they don’t use adequate cleaning supplies, nor had they washed their cloths between uses of cleaning. You know that odor that comes from dirty water? Yeah, that. Price was okay. Service was slow even though we were the only ones in the shop after the other couple finished. The price for the special drinks/smoothies were really expensive and small. Even a sweet tooth, like me, resisted for once. I do give them 2 stars because when we requested to watch the Raiders game, the waitress tried to find the channel. Nonetheless, this spot on International constantly changes owners and businesses. Wouldn’t be surprised if this place was out of business. Oh, did I mention that my papaya salad wasn’t good? It was super watery and had no flavor. Never have I ever complained about a restaurant’s papaya salad until now.

I noticed this place had been open a while and I was craving something new instead of the usual place(champa garden, vientien, and green papaya). So when I came here I ordered the cooked beef larp, combination noodle soup w/Ho fun noodle and no kidney, and beef sticks for appetizers. I must say the food looked and tasted better then the menu described! Lol. The larp was cooked perfectly(just hated the fact that it had onions) it was sour and spicey! Yummo. The beef sticks had a little too much fat on the meet but the seasoning was on point. The noodle soup was good! I liked the soup more then the items in it. Lol. I had a regular bowl and it was pretty big! Most important part is the service; n I thought it was great even so the fact was we we’re the only ppl in there. She checked up on us periodically N refilled our water. The inside decoration isn’t all that great but wats to complain the food was great!

Deathly honestly. I wish I could give this place more stars. Alright tasting noodle soups for $ 10. I am unimpressed. It tasted just fine, but I could’ve gotten just fine a couple of blocks away. The plus though, they give you a lot of meat. Lots of it!

Summary based on 1 lunch: –stopped here while looking for Holy Basil at the Lao market across the street.(Found it, by the way, $ 1 a package!) –had the combination noodle soup, which is my default choice when dining solo at an SEAsian restaurant, since it has basically everything in one bowl, except veg. Season to taste from the condiments on the table. –friendly service, not the fastest in the entire world, but about average for this type restaurant. –cheap –parking ok on the street with maybe a little walk

I was happy to see this not too far from my house. The menu was more limited than other Cambodian places I’ve been to. Got the stuffed chicken wings — they came hot and filled with ground meat and lots of flavor. Missed the noodles that come in some versions but it was a tasty rendition. Also got pan-fried noodles with vegetables instead of meat. They were OK once I dumped on a lot of rooster sauce. Otherwise they had a pleasant but very bland flavor. My wife got the chicken noodle soup and she loved it. Service was fine. The place is very functional and simple. I wanted to use some of the hot peppers but there was a funky white line of scum in the plastic jar so I passed. Very inexpensive.

As this is a freshly opened up restaurant, the inside looked clean and decorated nicely with several pictures of food posted up along with a few cool background paintings. Service was prompt, but average. It’s average because I like my water to be filled constantly without having to ask for it, especially when eating spicy food. However it’s prompt because it’s fast and easy to get service when needed. The food feels very homely, and being Cambodian myself, it’s really similar to food that my mom makes. It doesn’t have that glamorous appeal thats befitting for fine dining or bistro quality restaurant(The newly opened Angkor Wat restaurant in Alameda, for instance), but rather it has that home-cooked twang instead. Portion size is good. I came on several occasions and of the times I came, I had the Phnom Penh noodles(reminds me of TK noodle, but more flavor), the quail appetizers(very tender!), papaya salad(which actually isn’t flimsy and watered down like a lot of places, and it’s good, but still not up to my standards which is spicier and more saucy =P), pan-fried noodles(large portion and delicious). There isn’t a Cambodian restaurant like this out in the east bay with this type of flavor(but that’s not saying much as there’s hardly any Cambodian restaurants in the area in general…), so you should roll through and try it out!

There are a limited number of Cambodian restaurants in Oakland, but this one is awesome! Décor is nice, and customer service is excellent! They are prompt, friendly, and attentive. I love that. We ordered the beef salad(laarp), Khmer sour soup(Somlaw meh chu), and the yellow curry chicken. It was delicious! The portion size was a good amount too. The beef salad was extremely spicy; you could see all the pepper seeds mixed in there. The beef salad was listed under appetizer, but portion was so large that you could probably have that as your meal(if you can handle the spice!). Another table ordered the papaya salad, which was also listed as an appetizer, but it was huge. Just so you don’t expect just a few pieces of beef as an appetizer. The soup was excellent, sweet and sour. And the yellow curry chicken was very tender and juicy. It felt very homey there, and the food seemed more like home-cooked food than restaurant food. The owner came and talked with us for a bit during the meal; he is the cook as well.(Then he sat with us for a few minutes while we ate silently, wondering why he was still sitting there haha). Oh, CASHONLY. They only recently opened, so help support a great local business! Will be back again soon, and many times!

Cambodian noodle’s décor is the same as it’s predecessor, thai grains except for one thing: they have customers. menu: noodles & soup, appetizers, rice plates, entrees. total of 29 food items. ssmpling: –fried chicken wings(6/$ 5) heavily breaded good sized wing sections, juicy but not so tasty. came with sweet chile sauce –khmer style pan fried noodles.(beef, chicken, or pork) with scallions, bean sprouts, and roasted peanut. *not like chinese pan fried, more like thai pad thai. *lots of pad thai noodles, kind of sweet & tender. *large amount of noodles, a variety of toppings, pork, chicken, shrimp. leftovers: –everyone ordered the soup(but me). –noodle portion very large. –pricing relatively cheap –noodles 7ish, next on list.

I’m the worst critic when it comes to my own people so here it goes. So this spot just opened yesterday and today is their second day in business and I have to say if they want to make it in Oakland they will need some work. Service was great the cute girl that works here was on point. From the moment you walk in to when she took our order. I ordered the number 9 which is the Phnom Penh noodles, the soup needs some tweaking it was ok but could be better. The noodles were soft but lacked flavor, needed more ground pork and slices of meat. Over all this place has potential but needs some work, I’ll be back to try some other dishes soon. Good luck. 3 stars for now

Just drove by today and realized a new Cambodian Noodle restaurant just opened. I was on the way for Vietnamese phở but switched it up instead. I must say, this place is really nice. From the décor to the great customer service. I got the number 9, which is the Phnom Penh noodles. Pretty good but The soup needs adjusting. Good amount of noodles. Needs more meat to balance the meat/noodles ratio. Iced coffee is just right. Strong and bold. I’m reviewing this as I’m eating so it’s a little short, I’ll update a little more later. Basically, I’m glad there’s a new Cambodian joint in Oakland. Definitely a support of good food, so I’ll be back. Also there’s a cutie that works here, real nice and helpful. I can see this place do good, it just needs a little time.
