Went to the restaurant today and was told«No more truck.» Alas! Same good food inside though. Best pupusa I’ve ever had.

A 2 lbs. burrito for the same price one can purchase at a «Chipotle» half the size? Try this establishment.

Their tip jar is laughable! It is their job to serve you the food that they are selling you. Its like tipping the cashier at Safeway for ringing up your groceries! My advice to all patrons is to… WATCHTHEMENUBOARD! The server tried to overcharge me on 2 separate occasions!

I’ve eaten here twice and both times I’ve had the same bad experiences. Both times I’ve been here, they’ve messed up my order(How Hard Is It To Understand No Onions?), and undercooked my food(Pupusas Were Way Too Soggy). I gave this place two stars because even though they have a few problems, they are still pretty quick with the orders and make a half way decent taco. I will not be going back to see if the third times a charm :(

Went back today to try lingua and tripa tacos. Lingua was pretty good. Tripa was kind of dry and chewy. They are both more expensive than the other tacos at $ 2.00 and $ 1.75 respectively. May try their other items like burritos or torta but tacos other than linguas are just OK.

This place is awesome its a little truck on the corner of high street and international in oakland and the food is great! But for the most part the prices are great as well! This place is the only place in oakland that i know has a foot long burrito that is literally 4 inches in width FORONLY $ 9.75 and it is delicious NOKIDDING! This has tobe my favorite place to eat when im feeling burrito-ish especially on a budget! Please go check this place out! And if you want to dine in the have a restaurant right on the side of it!

The burritos here are amazing!!! They are huge for a regular burrito and did I mention it’s only $ 4.50! For everything on it it’s only $ 6.00! This is my go to taco truck now whenever I’m craving a burrito.

«size matters» right? you damn right it matters… and the rocket scientist that created the 10 dollar mega super burrito here totally nailed it. how about taking two large tortillas and overlapping them then gluing them together with melted cheese… oh yeah, then smothering layer after layer of guacamole, sour cream, salsa, rice, beans, and meat of your choice? does this sound like a good plan? yeah… it is… its the best kind of plan… the kind of plan that you can feed your entire family with for dinner or that you can nibble on throughout the day if you’re the selfish bastard kind of person… either way… clearly a win, win situation.

Came over today to Los Mexicanos to get some steaks and thought what the hell ill try there food truck right outside. I got 2 beef tacos and a normal size beef burrito, the beef was well cooked and flavorful not like most places where its burnt and dry. The salsa’s and guacamole where fresh and made for that day. Whenever I’m back in the oakland area I will definitely come back.

Good location, as this truck is in a parking lot, and there always seems to be a security guard patrolling the lot. I tried the pollo, al pastor, and carne asada tacos. As other reviews have mentioned, the tacos are a buck each, which are the cheapest I’ve seen in the area. The al pastor were my favorite, the other two were OK. These guys will give you red and green salsa for free with your order if you ask(the green was great), and also do the pickled carrots/jalapenos with radish slices. The carrots didn’t taste«pickled» enough. Oh, and worth noting, this was probably the slowest taco truck I’ve ever been to. A solid taco truck, but not my favorite.

Best burrito in town for the price. Almost half of what I pay at most of the taco trucks in Oakland. The 2lb burrito can feed a family if you need that much food. The chorizo breakfast burrito is delicious. When I get time to go to Oakland I come here to get my food or go to the store that is located on the same premises.

In what I hope to make a tradition, we had our first annual taco trucks + wine night. Fred and I came here to get tacos. The basic ones were only $ 1.00!!! $ 1.00!!! This beats McDonald’s $ 1.00 menu any day(except for maybe the apple pies … but I digress). To note — we went when it was pouring outside, and it had been raining lizards and frogs all day — so I’m not sure how that might have effected the food. For $ 12.00 — we got: 3 carnitas — the meat was a bit on the dry side, but tasty. 3 pollo — pretty average. 3 carne asada tacos — very good! 3 al pastor — did not like. The meat was mushy. Also got a carnitas torta — but we kept it in the foil for too long so I abstain from commenting. I mean, $ 1.00 a taco! So we’ll be back to try it again — in fairer weather.

There were a lot of people around this taco truck which is typically a good sign, and they have the least expensive tacos on the block at $ 1 each. Well, they were decent, but i don’t think they’re a particularly great deal or the best tacos around. I find that around this area, you pretty much get what you pay for. The more expensive tacos have more meat(up to $ 1.75 each), and vice versa. They do have a really good visible location, making it easy to find. And they’re located in a large parking lot, making parking easy as well. I’d say this place is pretty average for the Fruitvale /International Blvd area.

My go-to taco truck in the Fruitvale. If I’m in the area I’ll stop by for a Carne Asada torta, which is served on bread baked fresh daily in their bakery. I also love the 2 lb. steak burrito, but then it’s 3 – 4 meals for $ 7(and it’s delicious to boot), so you can’t go wrong. The food is so good that I always have to bring home a bag of food for them too(usually pupusas, burritos, tortas, and tacos). If you’d like to sit down and eat, just head across the parking lot to the newly opened restaurant. I ate there for the first time today and loved their mole. My mom enjoyed the chile verde, my dad had the rellenos, and my bro polished off a plate of chicken enchiladas, and we all left satisfied.

After eating a burrito down the street at one of my favorite spots, El Farolito, my buddy talked me into«double eating» & getting a couple tacos from one of his favorite trucks on International. «Double eating», for the uninformed & non-overeaters of the world, is having a meal at two different restaurants right after one another. Pretty great practice if done not too often, yet it does render you rather sluggish for the next few hours. Worth it though if the meals are both awesome, which in this case they were. Got two tacos, one carnitas & one lengua. Just the meat, salsa & cilantro, the way tacos should be. Love the side of pickled carrots & peppers as well. The Lengua might be the best I’ve had from a truck in Oakland & the carnitas was very good as well, nice & crispy. Not sure what the feud is about below, but I definitely recommend stopping by & checking this truck out. Wide ranging menu: tacos, burritos, pupusas(always a plus at a taco truck), tortas & good selection of drinks(agua frescas, horchata & the always delicious Jarritos sodas). Very inexpensive as the tacos are only $ 1. Yes you read that right, $ 1 even for each taco, great deal. Also really like that their truck tells you a bit about themselves & their farms, where they supposedly grow all their own veggies & raise their own cattle, pretty cool for a taco truck. Stop by & you won’t be disappointed…

Regular burrito is $ 3.50. I’ve had two so far, one carne asada and one al pastor. I hit this after the 24 Fitness Fruitvale gym. I definitely plan to keep trying more taco trucks, but I am a fan of this truck.

The secret is in the Salsa. They are fresh and they are hot. Mexican food have to be fresh to order and they make it nice. The Queso Pupusas in 4 minutes or less… with the arrange of Salsas. Don’t be fooled. This place is what others should be. Clean, clean, clean. And Good service. Friendly. Now there is a feud among families. Beware of Unilocalers with one or two reviews under the wings. I don’t do pork or red meat but the Chicken Torta is very, very good. Big too. All of their ingredients are from their OWN farms. That includes their organic meat. No other taco truck can claim that. Maybe that’s the reason for the $ 1.00 taco.

I miss Taqueria Zamorano, but at least Casa Jimenez hasn’t left the space vacant. I like how this business tells their story throughout the trucks’ panels. Complete with a prominent Salvadorian flag by the order window. «The Writings on the Wall [Truck]»: — «Serving Oakland since 1973.» -«Fresh produce from our market Los Mexicanos/Bay Farms.» Now for the food: (1) The $ 1.00 al pastor and carne asada tacos are ok, but they aren’t touching Taqueria Sinaloa’s success. (2) I’ll pass on the $ 1.50 horchata next time. It was watered down and chalky. When and if I go back i’ll order the meat pupusas again(2.5 Stars) and try out their 2 pound steak burrito.

Casa Jimenez Is on the corner of High & International.(where zacamoro used to be). casa’s in a bright red taco truck(shades of chairman bao!) casa has a large menu: pupusa, quesadilla, tortas, burritos, tacos, horchata, so a large posse isn’t a problem. sampling: –al pastor taco(1) meat dry, pellet-like, looked fried. –asada burrito(3.50) nice size, meat a little chewy, had some kind o tender gristle to chew on. choice of black or pinto beans available. –horchata(1.50) watery, milky, sweet, slight cinnamon taste. frijoles refritos: –meats and vegetables sourced from los mexicanos market in same parking lot. –market gets it from own farms in patterson, ca. –friendly service, food so so –entrees upgradeable to «super» for slight upcharge.
