Chase Bank

I love this location. Right on Broadway across from City Center, pretty much centered in the hub of places to take care of your business/​errands.
What I like most about this place is the comfortable welcoming environment. There is always a friendly security guard out front who greets your and opens the door for you. To him «Thank you.» Right inside the door is a normal day to day ATM machine for your Fast Cash and Deposit needs, further inside are 3 «self serve teller» machines that give you more in depth options for balancing, and reviewing your accounts. These machines give you the option of getting smaller bills such as fives and even deposit of request rolls of change. How fancy! Although I do worry a bit because this does take away from the face to face experience with a human teller. There is one teller open beside the machines, so you can still go old school with your banking if need be.
I am also grateful for the size, cleanliness and upkeep of the branch you can tell the staff here cares.
So Chase what matters and hit up this Branch.

This branch is extremely lacking in people.
The one teller open at 4:35 was sloooow
and non responsive after I apologized when she brought a mistake to my attention, I said did u hear me she looked at me no emotion yes. Well u should acknowledge that.nothin. Get more persons when theirs 5 people in line. Now the service was good and handled so that’s great. If I could print out my own cc/​mo I would never have to deal with the bank that would be a dream.

Probably one of my favorite branches in the Bay Area! Let me tell you why.
+ Doorman: The doorman /​security guard is really nice and always greets me with a smile. I can see why girls like this type of treatment… Not having to open doors and stuff is awesome.
+ Never a line (at least for me)!: This branch has magic teller machines that accept deposits and you can withdrawal cash in denominations of 1÷5÷20÷100 which is really convenient. Did I mention I never have to wait? I guess that’s one of the perks of being tech savvy in amongst not as tech savvy clientele.
+ Location: Conveniently above the 12^th street BART station in the South East side. Best of all, I work down the block so the location is perfect.
I do admit that the area is a uhh.“fixer upper” to say the least. I mean, there’s a doorman for a reason. Don’t let that detour you from visiting. Or even better, let it detour you so I never have to wait in line at the bank. Lines are terrible.

I like this branch — not only is it very close to my work — but it’s out-​fitted with fancy computerized tellers inside — they are like regular ATMs, but have a much larger screen, and do a bunch of stuff you could historically only do with the help of a person, like get smaller bills.
There’s a friendly, but clearly long-​suffering security guard outside. And at the corner of 14^th and Broadway, it’s ground zero for the recent and ongoing protests — indeed, it has a bunch of boarded over windows. Of all the businesses downtown with vandalism, this is most understandable as a huge corporation (although I don’t agree destroying property is the way to go).
Still, much better than the branch up on 21^st, where the staff are a little too full of themselves. Even if you are not a customer, go with a friend to check out the ATMs if you haven’t seen them.

Slow service. Had to do a card replacement, but there was only 2 representative around to help and there were 6 of us waiting. I won’t be coming back to this particular bank.

On the corner of Broadway and 14^th street. This branch is horrible! One banker to help 7 customers waiting in line. They take forever. The teller took someone before me, we had the same issue but I had to dispute a charge and they didn’t. The disputed charge was only $ 10. I would have ate the charge to be outta there 30 minutes earlier. Avoid this branch if possible.

Located on the corner of 14^th/​Broadway downtown. I came in person to see what the offer in mail is about and upon entering a arm security guard opens the doors for you. In my lifetime of going to banks I can not recall when an arm guard has ever open the doors for me. This was lunch time so everyone that works nearby are out and about. I mean I wasn’t scare or anything like that all I wanted was so info. Then second thought occurs if I stay longer then necessary the people on the corner bus stop hanging out will know you have serious bank. Once seated with an banker most people want to open accounts and you would need money or transfer them over. You won’t catch me in there seated talking about my options this and that to open accounts. When you leave the bank you feel like an mark already so why would you risk your life in a location like that? No thank you even with arm guards and bulletproof glass I rather not. Now I know why it’s call (Chase).
