1 star because they won’t deliver to me on account of I’m using a cell phone to place the order. They suggested I use a landline or use my neighbors phone. Seemed like nonsense so I’m ordering elsewhere. And yes, I’m biased because I am now hangry!

This is the first review I have ever bothered to make ever. This place is the worst. They would not take my order because I don’t have a landline… They only take orders from landlines. :| So needless to say I couldn’t order anything because it F’n 2015 and I don’t even know anyone with a landline. Meh — f their shitty pizza.

Life in the«hood» means living with sub-par food delivery. No decent pizza places will deliver in East Oakland below MacArthur. So when you do not have a car, and do not like cold premium pizza brought home on the bus, you are left with Coliseum Pizza. I’ve dealt with their rude customer service, slow delivery(I live 1 ½ miles away, 1 hour delivery), burnt crust, forgotten store brand soda. 12÷30÷14 was my final time in dealing with this joint. Medium Hawaiian pizza ordered. Told 30 minutes for delivery, took 65 minutes. Big honkin pieces of pineapple on the pizza. Pineapple that was in a sugar syrup. Pineapples were not drained and dribbled more of that horrible syrup onto the pizza resulting in a soggy, sweet pizza that only taste like pineapple. Save your money. Pass, pass, pass on this place.

Pretty damn decent pizza for the price! The delivery took 1:15 instead of the 45 minutes they claimed. However, the pizza was good and cheap and came with free soda and the delivery person was nice and the pizza was not cold, though not totally hot either. I will order from them again, especially because the options in East Oakland are sparse.

I called and asked for there specials and they had a special on the chicken which sounded really delicious. The price was well spent but unfortunately after a half hour of waiting for our pizza to get delivered, they called back and said they don’t have anymore chicken… Why they didn’t tell me that when I ordered I don’t know, instead they gave me a combination for the same price which was actually really good. I am giving this a 4 star for the little error that occurred but I still look forward to more great tasting pizza.

I don’t usually do this but my experience was so bad I had to. I ordered my pizza at 815pm the girl who took my border said it would be ready in 45 min. However I did not receive my pizza until 945pm !!! To top it off the pizza was cold! I called to complain to the owner who happened to be the delivery guy. He told me all he could do was take $ 4 off the next time I order. I was so upset because it’s already late I had to take the food but I will never order from their again. However I did give them 2 stars because after heating the pizza up it did not taste bad, and yes because they deliver in east Oakland which is very hard to find.

I can’t even review the food here, since they wouldn’t actually let me order any. Knowing they would require a landline for a first order, I called from that number and provided it to them for reference. First, they asked me for my address. After providing that, they asked for the landline. When I gave the number, the girl on the phone said they couldn’t take my order because I didn’t have a landline. I explained that I was calling from the landline and that I specifically gave them the number; she put me on hold for a few minutes. When she came back, she told me that they would let me pick up my order but that they couldn’t deliver since my landline didn’t pop up in their system. I like pizza and all, but not enough to deal with this nonsense.

I ordered my pizza around 7pm and called to check on the status of my pizza at 8:45, the lady told me that they were busy but the driver left(20mins ago) and was on his way. I waited until a little past 9 and spoke with the manager(who would not give her name) and informed her that I work hard for my money and I will not waste it by buying a cold pizza, she told me if the pizza was cold I can tell the driver that I didn’t want it and they will either get me my money back or make me fresh pizza immediately. Well, he arrived about 5 minutes after I spoke with her, already upset pulled the pizza out of his trunk then ask me to sign my credit card receipt. I told him that I wasn’t going to buy the pizza if it was cold and indeed it was. After I told him I didn’t want the pizza he still insisted that I sign the slip and if I didn’t they were going to charge me anyway. I told him that I will dispute the charges and he FLIPPED, I was every name in the book, he called me a bitch several time, and said that I shouldn’t be choosy because I was a n*gger. He did all of this in front of my neighbors and my children, then he speed off driving shouting«F*CKYOU N*GGER». I called to speak with the manager who just so magically wasn’t there anymore. My neighbors even called and were told that they could not give them name to the manager or the driver. Finally spoke to someone there that seem to have defended his actions with«he was over-worked». Today I contacted the manager Never judge a book by it’s cover because I work with the OUSD and frequently ordered from their restaurant for certain school events. Today I contacted the manager who apologized but still made excuses for his employee because he was the only driver. Needless to say they have been TERMINATED and we(Elmhurst Community Prep and Alliance Academy) will no longer order from their facility EVER again!

I grew up eating from this place. My usual order is a peperoni pizza with green bell peppers. They would give free soda if asked.

3 stars for decent pizza. 4th star for delivering in the hood. I’ve never needed to give them a land line. I’ve always used my cell and they’ve never asked for anything else. Maybe that’s a new policy. I am not, however, a fan of their Mexican food. I may even have tried wings or salad back when, but so far haven’t liked anything but the pizza.

Ok, not the best but still good. I felt that i should have had a flak jacket on waiting for my pizza to finish up. Never know when someone is gonna spray the place up and down with an AK on International. Bullet casings in the parking lot?

I give them 4 stars for having the guts to keep delivering in East Oakland after they got robbed back when… There pizza is good, they have different kinds of pizza and when you say«Large Pizza» They give you a LARGE pizza. I got kinda freaked out one time when I was ordering from them because they knew my name and adress and then my brother confirmed that they had caller I.D. Whatever you want on your Pizza, they got it. Everytime you order they always give you a complementary RC Soda which makes up for the pricey-ness. They also bring you coupons for your next order. Matter of fact, I just finished ordering from them and they’ll be here 30 min. *over and out*

They deliver in East Oakland. That really ought to be enough for three stars, right there. Pizza that won’t come to my house? No stars. Now that we’ve cleared *that* up: The pizza itself is respectable pizza, delivered promptly, without drama. They pay close attention to what you tell them to put on it or not put on it or to put on half of it or whatever. The crust is good, dangerously good. They take your pizza order and do not try to sell you disgusting side dishes. This delivery guy treats your pizza with respect, so tip him nicely. If you don’t routinely tip delivery guys, YOU try delivering pizzas in East Oakland. I don’t think he’d do anything bad if you didn’t tip(don’t test it!) but he is pleasant and prompt and the pizza is never mangled when it gets here.(I know of certain other more«hip» pizza locations in fancier neighborhoods in the East Bay that cannot say the same. Ahem.) And last but certainly not least: they do not snicker when I order anchovies. They are GENEROUS with the anchovies. Someone at that place understands the Cult of Anchovy, bless ‘em! Hallelujah! I {heart} Coliseum Pizza.

As someone mentioned in another review, the best thing about this place is that they’ll deliver to mine. I’m in some kind of pizza black hole, but Coliseum Pizza always comes through. They do want to get a landline number the first time you order, I guess to make sure you’re not calling in a pizza order to someone else’s house. I explained that they could either work with me on the issue or I could order a pizza from someone else, and they worked with it. Ever since they see the caller ID and immediately know it’s me, and there haven’t been any problems. The pizza is, frankly, just O.K. I’ve had a lot better, but I’ve also had a lot worse. I’ve never had them show up with a pie I didn’t want to eat. It’s also worth noting that your pizza comes with a 2 liter bottle of RC Cola. Don’t bother telling them not to bring it, they’ll still show up with cola. If you like drinking soda I guess that’s a plus. The delivery guys are very friendly, and seem to remember if you’re a good tipper. The staff on the phone is less helpful, but I just chalk that up to them having to to deal with ten things at once. If you can get delivery from somewhere else it may very well be better pizza. If you live in a neighborhood near Coliseum Pizza, though, you probably don’t have a lot of delivery options. With that in mind, it’s a good place to call.

Only place I’ve found that will deliver to our neighborhood. So Kudos just for that. Was pleasantly surprised that I liked the pizza too. Oh, and they automatically throw in a bottle of cola. 3 stars for the pizza 4th for the bonus soda without even trying to upsell 5th for being willing to deliver to 98th& MacArthur

Pretty darn good pizza, especially for being an 8-minute drive from my house for pickup. Nearly anything I can find in deep east Oakland is worth checking out, just to keep my business in the neighborhood. Not the best pizza I’ve had by a long shot, but still good, with a nice crispy crust. I like the free soda with pizza deal.
