This was some of the best bbq I’d ever had –until Dad retired and closed up the whole shop, oh, say, 3 – 5 years ago. A JJ’s chicken took the spot — but their manager told me «we got tired of being robbed» so they closed too. This site is best described as a shack attached to a small liquor store … with lots of people who hang around liquor stores hanging round. Dad keep things cool while serving some mean ribs and chicken … WEMISSYOUDAD — but HAPPYRETIREMENT!

I don’t know how we got here. Well we used the GPS and unfortunately that doesn’t tell you much about the neighborHOOD. I had the ribs they were great. The guy working was really friendly and let us sample the brisket. I think he was just being extra cool because we looked extra scared. I wish I could say I would go back. I just remember we got to get outta of this place.

Dad’s BBQ was my very favorite, and alas, they are GONE! RIP Dad’s BBQ. This location is now another JJ’s fish and chicken, which really should just have its very own separate review. Mostly out of respect for Dad’s. Sob.
