Miracle worker. Deveshi is intuitive with hair and what will work to compliment your facial features. She listened to all of my hair issues and complaints, looked at images I admired, and then combined the two into the PERFECT cut, with some phenomenal suggestions. I have gotten more compliments on my hair this week then I have in a truly long time. Plus, it’s effortless to style, and really feels like ME. So, so happy.

I went to see Deveshi on a friend’s recommendation and she did a fantastic job. She managed to keep the length of my hair and give it a beautiful shape. I also really appreciate that she is a calm and grounded person, and doesn’t fill the time with a constant stream of small chat. It actually felt restorative to have a haircut!

Deveshi creates the soul look with her intuitive look for what fits and works well for the individual.
I was impressed by the way she made my hair get both body, volume in the right places and a cut that fit my type of hair. A cut that looks great and is easy to maintain. That is what I asked for and I got more than that, a relaxing massage, tea, and a nice environment as well. I can highly recommend Deveshi’s creative skills to make a different look and treatment you walk away with feeling and looking great.

I’ve been going to Deveshi for years and years, and she is the best there is. After she did my hair for the first time, all of a sudden I was getting compliments. Raving compliments. No one had ever complimented my hair before. She knows color, and she knows how to cut hair. And she is a fine person, a friend. She treats you like a special person.

I’ve been a client of Deveshi’s for several years, and have followed her around to a number of different salons that she’s worked at over the years. My needs are pretty simple, but I’m very particular about quality. I tried many different stylists in Rockridge before I went to Deveshi, and she is by far the best that I’ve found.
Although I personally haven’t tested her creative styling skills too much, I’ve seen her work on other clients, and it’s really impressive. She has a unique combination of technical knowledge and creative skills, and takes great care of her clients.

As a performer, I’m pretty picky about my hair, and it’s so fine that it’s easy to do an okay cut, but harder to do a really fantastic job. I’ve had many great hairstylists over the years, but Deveshi truly is top-​notch. She looks at your head like a scientist, observing your hair’s natural contours and shape, and then cuts it like an artist.
Truly — I can’t recommend her highly enough. I had many cuts from her several years ago, before I left the Bay Area — and saw her when I visited, and now that I’ve moved back, I commute from the city to the east bay just for her cuts! You can’t go wrong here.

The most talented hair designer ever! I’ve always wanted this style but never knew what to ask for. All she did was study my face, snip away, and I have the hair I’ve always wanted! Excellent stylist!
