Ruby is great. The shop was closed but she heard me jiggle the door handle. She let me come in and look around, then modified the fantastic piece I selected while I hung out getting some work done on her wifi. very cool.

Ruby is so sweet and her designs are very well made and original. No one else has anything like them. I was torn between a couple different designs and she explained the unbiased pros and cons of each. I will be visiting her often as the prices were excellent for such amazing stones and we should all be supporting local small businesses owned by great people!

The creativity, quality, and exquisite beauty of this jeweler is unmatched. Earthy and ethereal, heaven meets earth, I rarely go out without wearing something crafted by Ruby, proprietress and maker of Eyescream jewelry. You won’t regret visiting this shop.

If you are more into the darker (themed) and diabolical forms of jewelry & accessories, than Eyescream Jewelry is your stop! But *warning* mortal, it is NOT for the week of heart!
THE SETUP
I absolutely love Ruby Eyescream and her beautiful jewelry. I am, however, not typically a fan of jewelry for myself: I’d rather buy it as gifts for someone I care about, then adorn myself with it. I might wear a couple of iron cross rings on a «High Holy Goth Night» Celebration, and once in a blue moon, you might catch me in an iron cross or orthodox cross pendent (and the irony is I’m a Deist and don’t give rat’s ass about organized religious), but that’s about it.
PENDENTS WITH STYLE
However, Eyescream has some delightful jewelry items that are truly attention-​getting and rather unique. And I most recently spied Eyescream when vending inside the Oakland Metro Operahouse for the beautiful event Shadow Dance. There were some fine, interesting items to partake, such as these:

So it truly was a «once in a blue moon» moment since I purchased on this occasion, in fact, a rather stunning Vampire Blood Moon pendent for myself (you know, to wear on those aforementioned «High Holy Goth Nights» at perhaps a Death Guild, or a Dark Shadows, etc. etc.):

I have been purchasing Eyescream jewelry creations for years, and heartily recommend her designs! I first met the creative force behind this jewelry line at Death Guild, where I knew her as Phyll (Now I see she is known as Ruby). She had made the most beautiful black and red beaded dragonfly necklace, and it was love at first sight! The only problem? The beautiful piece was a bit petite on me, as I am a substantial woman who loves dramatic (and large!) necklaces! When I lamented this fact aloud, Ruby offered to make me a custom one the size I was hoping for, at only a teensy bit more than the sticker price on the one she had for sale. A few weeks later, my husband presented this made-​for-​me gorgeous dragonfly necklace for our anniversary, and I wear it happily to this day!
I have purchased several other necklaces and earrings from her collections over the years, and love them very much as well! You don’t need to be goth or steampunk to appreciate her work; Ruby offers a variety of interesting, eclectic pieces, appealing to anyone who wants something that feels unique and special. As a great lover of jewelry, I cannot recommend Eyescream Jewelry enough!!!

Ruby makes the most amazing witchy wear. I love her gemstone pieces, and the store layout is spooky and perfect. I stopped in when in town for the Burger Boogaloo over at Mosswood Park, but now that I know she’s here I will stop back any time I’m in town.

This place is amazing! Ruby is an absolute pleasure to chat with and her hand made art work is extremely unique! From molding, to painting, to bone jewelry this lady has it all. I wish I had gone in at christmas time because I could have knocked out most of my friends with her great stuff! I bought two beautiful pieces that I’ve been complimented on every time I’ve worn them! I can’t wait ’till pay day to return :)!! It’s also great to know she does custom work!

I recently moved into the neighborhood and was thrilled to discover this little shop full of things that go bump in the night. I love her jewelry, and wanted to own the entire stock! I bought a beautiful eye of agate cross necklace and would love to go back for a bat when I feel like spoiling myself again. Ruby was so friendly and it’s great to see a business like this in Oakland.

I wandered in here on a whim recently and was really glad I did. The shop has a great atmosphere and the owner was extremely friendly and helpful. She’s got a great range of beautiful pieces in style (steampunk to goth and lots in between) and price. The pieces are really well-​made for the price and I am definitely planning to go back when I have some cash to spare!

This is a fantastic store that should not be missed. Wonderful handmade jewelry at very reasonable prices. Ruby is extremely talented and absolutely lovely. I have bought several pieces over the years at various events where Eyescream vended and I’m thrilled that there is now a convenient storefront.

I was familiar with Ruby’s unique jewelry from the Pantheacon dealer’s room and was excited when I learned she would soon have an actual store near me. What a treat to see lots and lots of her gorgeous creations any time I please! And I was also impressed by Ruby’s great Goth interior decoration. This store is a real gem in our Oakland neighborhood.. .it should give the San Francisco Goth merchants serious competition. Anyone looking for really unusual and well-​made jewelry and decorative items should make it a point to visit Eyescream soon!
