This is a take out barbeque joint in East Oakland. They serve big plates of meat. But the stand out plate here is the ribs. We are talking big plates of ribs; pork and beef. Plus they have barbequed chicken and sliced beef plates. The sauce is smokey, not too sweet and delicious. I usually get two orders of ribs, baked beans and some cole slaw to go. Throw all those south beach and zone diets to the side. Cause its time to grub.

Holy mother of god. This is the most tender, juicy, delicious, melt-in-your-mouth BBQ I have ever, ever had. Pork ribs, beef ribs, sliced beef, chicken — it’s all heavenly. Cooked to perfection, nearly falling off the bone. The sauce is dark and smoky, molasses-y but not super sweet. The baked beans, potato salad and bread are nothing to write home about. But who cares. That’s not why we go to Flint’s. We go to Flint’s for the MEAT. This is not the place to bring your vegetarian friends. They also have links, which we didn’t try. The place is completely spacious, great for a group, great for large people. If there’s a bathroom, it’s behind the bullet-proof glass, so it’s probably best to pee before you go. And if it’s warm out, it’ll be even warmer inside Flint’s. Personally, I prefer to take it home and eat it in the cool breeze of my back yard while I watch the sun go down. I have watched a couple of unsuccessful BBQ joints come and go in this location. And I pray that Flint’s is here to stay and help us through the revolution.
