I was a season ticket holder last season and attended this event. It was a wonderful experience. It can get a bit crowded but it’s a chance to experience a variety of restaurants and wineries in the Bay Area. I discovered Wood Tavern attending this event. Based on what I tasted, I decided to dine at the restaurant. You can sample several different wines as well. Yes, the lines can be long like it was for Ozumo’s sushi. But it’s free, so what do you expect?

The Warriors’ threw another party(2nd annual) for their loyal and devoted fans. With new owners, new coaches, and new players, the attendance was good for this event. Many of last years participants served a variety of wine and food. Unfortunately, they did not set up any seating area and most of us dined at bar tables. Also, the lines were substantially longer than last year, causing more anxiety to the hungry and thirsty throng. My favorite was the pulled pork sandwich from Wood Tavern though the soup from Wexler’s was not bad. They expanded the food stands into the Smirnoff Club area where Mijita and Ozumo were giving out tasty bites. Slanted Door/Out the Door brought out the child in everyone with their cotton candy and other treats. The coaches walked the floor and were available for handshakes and photo opps. About one hour into the event, the players were introduced by comedian Kevin Hart, taking jabs at each player, on the make-shift stage. We left after the players left the stage. Tonight’s gift was a black, fleece jacket, but only one per account holder. Overall, it was a nice celebration of the upcoming season of optimism.
