Honest and doesn’t nickel and dime you. This is a one stop for my car. Any other place would have easily try to charge me for $ 200-​$ 300 and I only paid $ 75 for the job that I had done. My car was making a strange noise coming from the front tire of the car and the mechanic was able to look at it and could tell that it was making a noise. My brakes and pads were cleaned up and a bolt was replaced resulting in the noise stopping.

I’ve gone here for my last two sets of tires. They do not sell you anything you don’t need. If you get your tires here they will fix a flat and rotate your tires every six months for free. The break room is clean, has complimentary coffee and tea and you can watch TV while browsing through magazines. They are not in the greatest neighborhood but the service is as good as it gets!

A nail had punctured my tire I called and went in that morning, within one hour I had received two brand-​new tires a tire rotation and a tire alignment for only $ 200. Best service at an auto body shop I had ever ever received b The most amazing service and team members there they are the best

I had a flat on one of my rear tires. My husband and I came in, they put 2 new front tires on, patched my flat, and got an alignment. And I was out of there in 20 minutes. Great place for service! Thank You!

The only place where I will take my trucks. They have done great work on my Toyota trucks and even helped me out with a vintage VW. Would recommend to others!

I went once because of an emergency tire snafu, and I’ve gone back multiple times.

It’s not easy to find a good flat tire repair shop, but look no further, this is the best I have used in the past 10+ years.

Felt like I was making an F1 pit stop. The wheel nuts were not over tightened and the tire had plenty of air. I was able to easily set the precise wheel torque at home and lower the tire pressure to my exact preference the following morning when they were cold.
I no longer dread the inevitable tire puncture or slow leak.

In my lifetime of buying tires I have learned to brace myself for the one hour wait to get new tires installed. 17 min to drive in, install and they clean all four of my rims in spite of my purchasing two tires. Bye bye to wheel works & Firestone …

Best tire repair/​Specialist in the bay area. My family has been coming here for years and the always work with us. I’m always satisfied with their inspection resolutions & if I can’t get them to do the work they always offer other alternatives.

Awesome place! They fixed my punctured tire within 15 minutes (yes, it took them literally 15 minutes to fix the tire!). The price is terrific as well. I would definitely go here again if I have any tire issues.

I’ve been coming here for a long time and they always do a good job every time I bring my car for service. Good prices and good service. Probably all of east Oakland comes here. I don’t think you’ll get any complaints. Good solid service, period.

Somewhat of a long story.
A friend visiting me from out of town had the unfortunate luck of having a piece of metal shard puncturing his tire. Since I just moved to the area, I didn’t know where to go but I thought we would try Discount Brakes and Tires on 12^th street since they have an excellent review on Unilocal.Unfortunately when we called Discount Brakes, they didn’t have the right tire size in stock but they recommended we check with Gomes Tire.
Meanwhile, we called AAA for a tow but the driver said he knew a place nearby that would have the tire we needed. Since we were in a hurry, we thought why not. Unsurprisingly, the place wanted to gouge us. I then called up Gomes Tire and Aurelio (General Manager) quote me half the cost of this other place!!!
When we arrived at Gomes Tire, the service was excellent, Aurelio was extremely profession and friendly. We were on the road in 30 minutes with brand new tires. While we were waiting for the tire replacement, I checked their Unilocal rating and I then understood why the other Unilocalers rating this place so high. They deserve the recognition and rating.
Thumbs up to Discount Brakes for giving us an excellent recommendation. I have definitely found my local tire shop (and will be trying their other services when the time comes).

Another satisfied customer. I had a slow leak in my van tire that I needed to be repaired. When I arrived at the garage I noticed that every garage bay was filled. No problem, Fernando (One of the service techs.) repaired the tire in the side parking lot in 10 minutes. Great job, tops for customer service.

I usually hate taking my car in to get serviced, but This honest Family owned shop is great! They have excellent customer service! The owner is always in site to greet and check out any problems your having w/​the car they don’t try to sell you stuff you don’t need! Also I really appreciate that it won’t cost me and arm & a leg!

I love these guys. I have been bringing my cars here during lunch hours for the last four years. They always deliver as promised, and they’ve been courteous and honest through the process. They’ve got a nice waiting room with TV and WiFi which is a nice bonus if you’re trying to not make that lunch break too long.

I was recommended by a friend. I’m SO glad I came here. The gentleman was very polite and upfront. He came to me in the waiting room and explained that my tires are actually a little larger than the size we discussed over the phone. He said it’s around $ 8 extra per tire but would give it to me for $ 3 instead. He also found an extra hubcap that he would throw in for free! Its so refreshing to have someone actually explain what they are doing and why beforehand, instead of feeling cheated by extra charges at the end. It turns out that my car comes in different tire sizes depending on the model (totally understandable). And getting a free hubcap is awesome! It really made me feel like they care about me and my car, not just they money.
And I just want to add that its very tidy and neat here. Cleanest auto shop I’ve ever seen in my life. They obviously care about details and making sure customers feel welcome. Thanks so much Gomes! I’ll be back again… and again.

They sure know how to do business here. I called and asked if they could remove a screw on a tire and patch the hole. They said yeah just come in, I asked how much and he said «sev…around 20 dollars» and rushed off. ($ 7 or $ 20… Are they scammers?!)They must be busy I thought. When I got there there were vehicles of all kinds already in most stalls. I pulled in as instructed and no longer than 10 min they were done. (The owner?) opened my door and gestured me to get in saying its all done. I asked where do I pay and he waved his hand saying forget it and to just bring him in a customer instead.
Can’t beat FREE!
