My dad was referred to Doc. Vanegas by his family doctor due to abnormal chest xray followed by CT scan. We were very worried it was cancer related from the ct imaging. We scheduled an initial consultation with Doc Vanegas, he was very thorough in explaining all the possibilities that caused the abnormal results. I was not with my dad during his consultation, but requested Doc to call me for follow-up. He spent lengthy amount of time answering all my questions/concerns during non-office hour. It turns out that the abnormality is nothing of concern. I highly recommend this office to any new patient from doctor to receptionist. They’re the best, knowledgeable and comforting!

I have been seeing Dr. Vanegas for my asthma since 2005 or 2006 and I could not be happier with him.(In fact, when I have a, sick with what could be either a common or a more serious viral or bacterial infection, I would usually go to him as well — instead of my PCP — because I know that with Dr. Vanegas I am in good hands.) He always listens to me very carefully, examines me thoroughly, and considers what the minimal effective treatment would be before prescribing anything. He is also very happy to explain how your condition and/or the medication works, and answer any questions. I would highly recommend Dr. Vanegas to anyone.

The receptionist at this doctor’s office is very careful to collect your co-pay, and is otherwise not very nice. She was uncooperative when my husband had emergency heart surgery and was in the cardiac ICU, and the hospital had accidentally thrown away his CPAP mask. She just could not help us; she was«too busy» to call the vendor and authorize a replacement mask. We finally called the vendor, who actually delivered a mask to the hospital as a courtesy. This receptionist gives the doctor a bad name. She also tried to interfere with trying to get a reconciliation of our account when they owed us money. They have a billing department but she called and literally yelled at me about her right to collect a copay we did not owe. The same receptionist called to try to solicit appointments I did not need. I had a negative sleep apnea test and she tried to set up a follow-up — for no reason. She then called me 6 months later for a «follow up» when I wasn’t even a patient.
