Hispanic Referral

I actually used this service a few times, from housecleaning to getting some painters to help me paint interiors rooms. I was getting my house ready to sell. Even when I have a last minute notice, they were able to provide workers. Yes I know you can be apprehensive since you do not know who is coming to your house, but they tell you whose coming and what time. And everytime they have been prompt and courteous. I have used them about 4 times. I was very happy with them and the quick response time.

I used this referral service recently to help me remove my front and back lawns, including digging out 600 square feet of lawn and dirt, and moving A LOT of pea gravel and mulch from the front to the back. This was hard work and the two men Luis sent were great. I told Luis up front that I don’t speak Spanish and he made sure one of them spoke manageable English. I totally underestimated how long it would take and asked if they would come back, which they did. The men were very punctual and friendly. Their rate was $ 14 per hour and I bought them lunch, supplied drinks, supplied the tools (free from the tool lending library!), and gave them a tip — it was all very reasonable and my boyfriend and I could not have completed our lawn conversion project without them (we worked alongside them but they did the lion’s share). I would use this service again.

They are great. I have used them many times for a variety of home services. They have done indoor and outdoor painting, all manual labor garden chores as well as digging trenches and removing old lawns. They are always reliable and work hard. Would recommend them to anyone. Much better than picking someone off the streets and it is only 15 an hour.

This is a great service! Two guys without much english came over and weeded my retaining wall, the lawn full of weeds and my patio. All overgrown. They were very hard workers, polite and worked four hours with only a big jug of lemonade and a few protein bars to keep them at it. It was impressive! Cost, $ 15 an hour each. Wow! Call Luis, he will get you one or two men even in San Francisco. The San Francisco referral was terrible and that’s why I went to Oakland on a referral from the Berkley Parents Network, a great referral souce.

This organization has provided me with a cleaning woman, a drywall specialist, painters, and landscapers. They are very inexpensive and the people have all been really nice and easy to work with. This is the way to go when you need some help around the house. Luiz is really quick to respond and find a great person to come and help us out.
