This is a small store with a beautifully edited collection of everything from jeans to evening wear or socks to scarves! Naomi and Andrea know their stuff and are really helpful putting things together. I can’t leave without buying something, and love supporting my local businesses!

I love, love, love this store. Naomi has created a little bit of retail shopping heaven! I first came to her mom, Andrea, store on College many years ago … I bought a rain coat which I still have! Because I’m retired and living on a pretty much fixed budget, I mainly shop their rack on the sidewalk which has great buys for $ 25 each. I also do indoor shopping when I am able to and the quality of their merchandise is always top shelf! I highly recommend you give yourself the gift of checking out Hula for yourself! You will love it! Lakshmi Kerner Oakland, CA

This is the perfect women’s boutique. Always new and colorful items. Wonderful service from the owner, her family and staff. Warm and welcoming and the dogs are welcome too! Also they have very clever display windows. Definitely one of the best stores in Montclair Village.

This is such a welcoming, beautiful store. There are so many flattering, well-designed pieces and accessories in such a compact space. They do some great buying. I also found that there’s no pressure to buy, and when you’re trying to find something that flatters, the sales staff offers honest feedback. Andrea helped me pick out a silk top there years ago and I still get compliments every time I wear it. This local business is such a gem!

I need help if I’m going to try to buy something at a clothing store for a woman as a surprise. The women at Hula are great, they only try to help you, not push a sale. The styles are nice, and the prices are surprisingly good, considering they are in a upscale area of town– Montclair. Always somethings on sale, and always a smile from Andrea and Naomi.

Waiting for my pizza order at Rustica, I wandered into Hula and had a great conversation with the owner. I used to shop at the owner’s store on College Ave when it was open(then called Andrea’s) for many years but I just don’t make it into Montclair very often and I was curious about her tastes– were they still like mine? The answer is, yes! Wonderful clothes, a little different from the average shop but not too outré. She told me that she has lots of different patrons– even a cross-dresser. I bet he looks like a million bucks. Sigh. Wish I could, too. Something for everyone at Hula, thanks to a very smart and warm-hearted business owner. You go, girl!

I love going to Hula. Excellent jewelry, handbags, belts. Some great clothes too. I’ve acquired some nice party dresses and some really neat vests, cozy sweaters. Yes, they are a bit on the pricey side, but I’d rather go there than a huge department store.

Hula is a great little boutique in my neighborhood. It’s owned by a mother/daughter team that have amazing taste. The clothes, purses and jewelry they feature are beautifully made and very stylish. I am a handbag fanatic, and they always feature something very individualistic and cool that you won’t find anyplace else. To me, the only downside is the price — they are EXPENSIVE! But worth a splurge when the moment hits. Enjoy!
