Love This spot! I have been coming here a couple of months now and always walk in, get helped immediately and walk out with perfect brows 15min later. Everyone is also always super friendly and helpful! Can’t beat the price and quality of service, that is for sure!

I have let my eyebrows grow wild for a decade since my last waxing left me with painful memories of the ripping and a few hideous pimples for days. I am not a hairy person so I can get away with it. I just happened into iBar after lunch on Sunday to look at the clothes they sell and the woman at the register sold me on the service — she deserves a raise — excellent representative for the business.
The technician was professional and talked to me about my desired look. The process was almost painless, quick and I had no skin irritation!!! I like the way my brows look and I will definitely be back for more threading.

My review was wiped since apparently, you can’t review with just a sentence.
I had called to find out if they had an appointment, what type of lashes do they use, to they use medical grade glue, etc. Well, I couldn’t ask any of that cuz the woman that answered was so grouchy! Why would you answer the phone if you’re in a bad mood? Don’t you know that every call is a potential customer? Are you not aware of Unilocal and other social medias? Couldn’t you at least be fake nice to me?
I was so put off that I kept the conversation short. I usually write their names but our interaction was so short that I did not get to it. Hence, for the terrible first impression, I’d rather drive to SF and not visit an ibar. It’s a chain anyways.

I have had a pleasant experience with iBar in Emeryville and have always enjoyed their professional service. Today I visited the new Oakland location and I walked in at 6:49pm, there were 2 staff in the salon (1 was sitting on the chair and the other was at the front desk), they immediately informed me that they were closed, this was a shock to me because on the website it says they close at 7pm so I asked them to confirm their closing time, they responded with saying «we are cleaning up right now so we cannot accept any customers» so I asked them to clarify their closing time for future reference, they responded with «we close 10 minutes early everyday so we have time to clean up.» IF this is the case, the website should be updated, this was a waste of my travel time and I didn’t appreciate the false advertising of their business operating hours.

Went in a few days ago and the threader that I had was very professional and friendly. I usually go to the one in San Francisco after work but it is nice there one is only a few miles away from me. I’ve been threading for the last year now and it’s great… I have noticed such a big difference in the way my face looks and no more peeled skin from the wax. Thank you iBar for always making my brows look amazing! I will be back again.
