I went with a large group to see the Aretha Franklin revue. I really enjoyed the show but I don’t like the seating arrangements. Folding chairs just are not my thing. They did have booths along the wall and people seemed comfortable. But we sat in very uncomfortable folding chairs and for such a nice place. Also, there is just one bathroom and it was not very clean. There is a long line, so if you are in a hurry, this won’t work. I would come back but they really need to work on the seating arrangements.

This Company is dishonest and untrustworthy. Our book club contracted with owner Veronica Fleming back in December 2012 for an event we were hosting in March 2013. Ms Fleming showed us a beautiful venue where we contracted to hold our event. We gave her a $ 500 deposit to hold the space. The venue was shut down 1 month before our event. Ms. Fleming never notified us of the closure. Never responded to our continuous calls. We had to drive by the venue to see it was closed. Ms. Fleming was evasive whenever we were able to catch up with her and never returned our $ 500 deposit.
We took her to small claims court in December 2013. We won the case against her; BUT she still has not repaid our club the $ 500. Think twice before doing business with Image Affairs or Ms. Fleming!!!

I absolutely love this place. The atmosphere is awesome. This place has a lot of class. If your looking for a nice sophisticated spot this is your place. Miss Veronica is the sweetest person. I will defiantly be using this spot for my future events as well as attending the open mike. Awesome experience.

If you’re looking for a classy, sophisticated and upscale venue for your next party or show, look no further! Imagine Affairs Art Lounge, situated in the heart of downtown Oakland, is the epitome of elegance and style. Veronica and Corey are gracious hosts and have done a stupendous job with the artwork that graces the walls, the baby grand piano that sits perfectly in place and the running waterfall that contributes to the calming ambiance. I have attended a couple of functions at Imagine Affairs and look forward to holding an upcoming Cabaret evening there in January, 2014. I highly recommend this beautiful little hidden gem in the heart of Oakland for your next event!

Imagine Affairs is a lovely art lounge perfect for occasions where the host wants a fresh, new event experience. The owners are wonderful and caring people who work with a plethora of private groups and organizations including nonprofits. Veronica, the part owner, has been heaven sent while she helped me and a grieving family put together a memorial for a beloved jazz musician friend. He would have LOVED that place, too. Sigh.
Myself, my nonprofit organization, and my referrals will continue to use Imagine Affairs for events and recitals.

Imagine Affairs Art Lounge is the destination event spot of the year. With its art décor backdrop, its the perfect location for any occasion. I have personally hosted several networking mixers and parties at the Lounge, and the personal service received has been nothing short of spectacular.

The show was wonderful.
I was asked to perform at this venue. The promoter offered a contract and was professional the whole way through and even promoted the show with 94.1 fm kpfa.
The show was a creative success with another singer by the name of Larry gains.
This venue has a piano dj system and a drum set on display. the art work changes through-out the venue and has hot wings for snacks and French fries. I didn’t get to taste theire lemonade or drinks as I was so busy socializing with my friends.
the show was still taped and streamed live online.
The promoter was not only a professional but nice. I appreciate honesty when doing business and would do business with this promoter again.
by the way my favorite art piece was the one with glitter of course. not too far from the entrance.
