Passed her briefly twice today while walking my dogs on a trail I frequently use. I was very impressed with her ability to keep her dogs under control. One of my dogs is very timid because she’s been attacked by larger dogs in packs. This dog walker recognized it immediately by keeping her pack under control and allowing my dog to pass in the most polite and respectful way. Most dog walkers I meet on the trails don’t have the skill or ability to recognize that submissive dogs can fall prey to a pack. It was a non-​issue today because this person clearly knows what she’s doing.

I can’t say enough about Sheryl or In Loving Hands Pet Care. Our dog Petey has been a lucky client since 2006. Sheryl is FAR more than a walker. She truly cares for the well-​being of each and every dog. She shares meaningful observations on behavior, health, overall well-​being. She takes time to know each animal and pairs up dogs based on similar temperment. After each walk (which is typically in some extraordinarily beautiful off-​leash space in the East bay hills), she brushes and towels off the pet before returning them home. I just have to send a shout-​out to a fellow dog walker whom I’ve seen regularly on the trails for the nine years I’ve been walking dogs. Sheryl is loving and super responsible. Her dogs look happy and they’re always under control.
It’s a pleasure to «share the trails» with her and her pack. I know your dog would be in great hands if Sheryl were his or her handler.

Sheryl really is amazing! I have a french bulldog that is sensitive to heat and cold. Sheryl is kind enough to take the time to look up the weather the day before his walk and if it’s going to be too hot she emails me to let me know we should skip his walk. On the rare occasion it heats up while they are already on the walk she wets him down so he doesn’t over heat. In the winter when it happens to rain on a walk she bundles him up in a towel on the ride home. She has a key to my house and returns my dog while I’m at work. I completely trust her and feel so lucky to have found her. When she shows up my dog goes wild with excitement, he loves his hikes with Sheryl.
Side note: She takes them up in the Oakland hills for an hour long off– leash hike!
