Jesikah made me a chocolate cake with fresh raspberries, mocha buttercream frosting, and chocolate pavlova. The cake was dense and moist and deeply chocolate, the frosting was fluffy and creamy. The raspberries lent a freshness and lightness to the cake while the pavlova(meringue) in the center and crumbled around the outside edges gave it a crunch. Some diners didn’t appreciate the texture of the pavlova in the cake but I found the crunch to be fun. Overall, this was a top-notch entry in Jesikah’s long parade of amazing cakes.
