Jimenez Glass

This review is long overdue! A few years ago we had Jimenez glass install a glass tub panel for us. It came out great! Fast forward to present day and all of the work is still excellent and holding up well. We used modern chrome hinged brackets to hold the glass in place and it looks fantastic. He’s very reliable, and by far the best contractor we worked with. I would definitely rehire him for any other glass work in the future.

A few months ago, about 1am my daughter decided to check if the dining room window was closed by pushing on it. Her hand went right through it. Thank God she wasn’t cut up or hurt. The glass was single pane, put in when aluminum frame windows were the cat’s meow. So there were thousands (seemed like thousands) of shards of razor sharp glass on the sidewalk outside. After cleaning that up and putting up cardboard in the window, I called a «24 hour» glass repair whos initials are East Bay Glass and left a message. Two days of calling later, I make contact with a woman there when, after I explained the situation (one single pane of glass 22“X47″ to replace), she started saying «hello… hello…». Then hung up on me. Went to Unilocal.Found Jimenez Glass. Found lifesavers. I called, 25 mins later they came, they replaced same day. Quick, clean, efficient, and affordable. Since they did that, I asked if they could replace two small pieces of glass the neighbor kid put BB’s through. They did it on the spot. Awesome father and son team I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend to anyone. Thank you Guillermo Sr. and Guillermo Jr. Fantastic guys!

3pm: Child spots grandparents in driveway. Is so excited he accidentally punches out pane of glass.
3:01pm: I inspect child. No injuries. Window: many injuries
3:05: Start Unilocal search. Find Jimenez.
3:06: Call them and they pick up on the 2^nd ring. Listens to injury to window. Says he’ll be there within the hour. Quote for repair: a very reasonable $ 150.
3:50: Jimenez arrives
4:30: Work is complete and really well done.

I broke a window about a two weeks ago. I called Jiminez that morning, got voicemail, left a detailed message with my number repeated twice, and I never heard back from them. I also called C&R Glass; the owner picked up and he had my window fixed four hours later.

Very professional, prompt and efficient father and son team. Called this morning around 7 a.m. with a broken window. They had the window replaced by noon the same day.
I’m happy with my decision to believe in the positive Unilocal reviews for this business.

I showed up a little early to work this morning and was greeted to a broken window. Someone tried to break into our building, most likely to take our computers. Luckily we have a metal security gate behind the curtain that is behind our glass.
Even though our windows are massive, 56.5×93.5, Jimenez Glass was able to secure a proper piece of glass to replace the one that was broken and install it the same day. A+ in all categories!

After reading all the great reviews I was definitely interested in their services. I called this company several times, left messages, left emails and to no avail I never got a response from them. Question to Jimenez Glass: Why be in business if you are never available to respond to potential customers??? Thanks so much for wasting my time.

If you need someone to replace broken glass, these are your guys! They are a father/​son team who has always been responsive to calls, appointments when I have needed them.
I have single pane glass that has gotten cracked/​broken on more than one occasion. They are lightning fast at coming out to measure, order and install.
The icing on their cake is their prices. They are very affordable and honest so basically, CALL THEM. You can’t go wrong. Do right for your windows and your pockets. That is all.

My dog got little over zealous and jumped toward the front 1944 single pane window and broke it. I called another Unilocal top rated glass company but no one answered. I called Jimenez Glass and someone answered right away. Two very pleasant, professional and skilled gentlemen came to my rescue. I placed the call at 4:18PM and after sending a few photo’s of the damaged window and agreeing to the price they were out by 6PM. If I ever need a window replaced I would call Jimenez Glass right away.

This place is amazing. After reading the Unilocal reviews, I called Jimenez Glass when we broke a window in our bedroom. Guillermo was so nice on the phone. I texted him a picture of the window and he provided me with a quote. He showed up a few hours later and spent like…30 minutes replacing the glass. He was FAST, friendly, super professional, and affordable. I would highly recommend them!

Would give this guy & his dad all the stars in the sky. A large window in the utility room of my 1927 house had been cracked from top to bottom since I bought it 3 years previous. Every time I or my kids walked through the room I was afraid it would fall out and slit someone’s jugular. I’d always assumed the window would have to be totally replaced, to the tune of $ 800-​$ 1000 dollars w/​labor.
After I got last year’s tax refund check I decided I finally needed to deal with it. I called this guy to come over & take a look at it on the off-​chance that it could be repaired before I replaced it. He fixed it on the spot, charged $ 150 for it and was out of there in 40 minutes. When he called me back to look at it, I thought he still had the glass out of the frame b/​c the window was so dang clear. Even after he said he was done, I had to poke at the glass to make sure it was real: and he was all like «DON’T PUSH ON IT YET! DON’T PUSH ON IT YET!» (lol, sorry…) He’s really the best.

Broke my window and called Guillermo for a quote. Very reasonable in price! He came right on time and was out in about an hour. Very professional, kind, clean, courteous, fast and did an amazing job!

my house was broken into with glass shattered from the front door all over the entryway. i called jimenez after finding them on Unilocal and guillermo picked up the phone right away and asked me to text a picture of the broken glass. one minute later, he called me back with an estimate and an explanation and said he could be here in 30 – 40 minutes. he didn’t hesitate at all when i said that i’d need to call my wife first. afterwards, he showed up actually early, cleaned up all of the broken glass, and installed a brand new piece of safety glass promptly afterwards! my bill was for the same amount as what guillermo quoted me over the phone, and the whole break in incident was over and done with in less than an hour and a half after first calling him.
meanwhile, even hours afterwards, i’m still waiting for the oakland police to show up and take my report…
tomorrow he’s coming out again to preventively upgrade some of our other pieces of glass. way to go guillermo!

They guys are great, just bought a new home and before we even moved in some low life shot BBs at 3 of our windows. I was able to take pictures with my phone and just text them to Jimenez Glass, he quoted me over the phone from my pictures. Came out measured the glass and was back the following weekend to do the repair and came in under his quote for the price! These guys are good, Clean work did not damage new floors, beat the original quote and was on time. If I need windows worked on in the future, I will be calling these guys 100%!

Someone tried to break into my house the other day causing my whole living room window to be replaced. Called these guys in a panic without any measurements or anything. I was asked me a few basic questions and told that they would be able to come out and take a look and figure everything out from there.
These guys showed up prepared, measured the space for my damaged window and fixes everything so quickly at a very reasonable price.

Needed a window replaced after a baseball was put thru it while playing ball in the backyard. Called Mr. Jimenez and gave him the size and type of window that needed to be fixed and he gave me a reasonable estimate on the phone and told me he could be there in 2 hours. He arrived removed damaged window glass and installed new window fast. Cleaned up after the job and was on his way. He replaced an old single pane metal casement window. Recommended

Lets just say that this family business, father and son, is amazing. I called them Monday morning about 10am, to get my window fixed ASAP, they came to my rescue without a heartbeat. Guillermo even moved his previous appointment so I didn’t miss my Dr appointment. That right there was superior service, when they arrived on @ 11am just like what try said, the father and son were very warm and kind, and got straight to the job. Very professional, very fast no nonsense work. If my windows ever break again, which I hope doesn’t happen, they will be my go to guy.
