Kaiser Permanente Cafe-new Building

The café is ran by new management and they seem to be a lot more expensive and stingy about cutlery and condiments. I rather walk a few blocks for good food with fair prices.

I ate at this place. And the breakfast burrito was large an it was stacked with lots of eggs and bacon!
You literally could have some for 2 meals and be completely full.
The tall Asian cook wasn’t very friendly at first and I didn’t appreciate it.
He calmed down after he saw my facial expression.
It was close to breakfast ending and he not want to to take any more breakfast orders BUT made an exception for us standing in line. Even though there was ample breakfast foods still visible! May be he had plans for the remaining foods for himself.
I would buy it again!!!

I guess I shouldn’t expect much for a hospital café… But because I eat so much good food, I have to compare it to the other places I’ve eaten at.

I got the bacon breakfast burrito. It kinda sucks. I used to make breakfast burritos when I was in college at the dorms and they were better than this… The bacon wasn’t crispy, and the cheese wasn’t melted. I do like that they make the eggs when you order it, so at least the eggs aren’t cold, but that’s about where the positives end. Also, I saw donuts that were chocolate covered, but were already half melted off! Like there were stacked on each other. Really? Who is going to buy that? I think it’s better off not even placing them out there because it just makes the place look bad.

Not bad. The guy that made my burrito was pretty attentive and seemed like he kinda knew what he was doing. Probably new. All new employees are always enthusiastic!

My burrito was almost 5 bucks. I know I’m in a hospital, but dang… These are what the forms charge back at ucsd and we thought that was overpriced to the max already. For subpar food, this is too expensive. A I saw a chewy bar prices at 1.50? Really? I thought 50 cents was expensive for 3 bites.
Would I come here again? Nope. Unless I was stuck here like I am now and am very hungry.
