Went here for the first time on Saturday because I wanted to try it out and although the food wasn’t bad it wasn’t all that either. I ordered the Denver omlette and I didn’t like that they used Kraft or Velveeta sandwich cheese on my omelette which I didn’t like. I’m used to shredded cheddar or something similar. The coffee was really bland and not hot at all. Even though it wasn’t bad I don’t know if I’ll return again I guess I’ll stick to Jims or elios

Honestly I have been there a few times. The burger was so fucking delicious and the breakfast is average but I like the Korean lady. She is very friendly and I get to practice some words with her when I stop in. I just love the atmosphere. It’s pretty tight in there j usually sit at the bar but guys will try to hit on me so I started getting my food to go. If you haven’t yet, I do recommend to try it

The French toast was nasty and it had no flavor to it and the Asian lady was rude as hell with a bad attitude I would never eat there again first and last time!!!

Small diner, mostly regulars that come in. It seems to be run by a couple and the woman said she’d been in the area for 30 years! I had the eggs & ham with hash browns and toast. The plate was delicious in general, although the«hash browns» we’re certainly most notable: they’re like sliced potato coins, rather than the typical string bits. While the food was comfort food, the people here, both the owners and the customers are super friendly! Overall, it’s a standard breakfast joint with the basics and some smiling faces. I’ll certainly be back if I’m in the area again.

I was working in the area and my coworker forced me to go here with him. I had the number 26 which was pancakes, 3 pieces of bacon and eggs which I ordered scrambled. Everything came out really good, price was good. My friend is a regular here so we got treated really nice. I can’t complain at all, if i’m ever in the area I will definitely come back.

In truth, I was hoping for a bit more local color from this divey greasy spoon. Instead, I got a perfunctory bacon and eggs with Dense and flavorless pancakes that seemed like they were out of a mix. The Somewhat Dingy counter was sparsely populated and while I hoped to perhaps engage in some friendly conversations with the regular patrons establishment, no one seemed game. So I just ate my meal read my paper and left. Not a gem in the rough full of local color as I for some reason I hoped it might be.

I’m visiting here in Oakland from Denver and was looking for a Village Inn. Ran into Kelly’s Kafe and Village Inn be damned. This is my new favorite place to eat! I love sitting at the bar and the patrons are friendly and inviting. The owners are quick and the food is YUMMY and plentiful and VERYAFFORDABLE! Thanks for a great breakfast and I will be going again today.

Kelly’s Kafe is hard to see from the street(while driving). saw them only when i was strolling the fruitvale. Kelly’s looks the typical neighborhood greasy spoon breakfast/lunch place. plenty of seating at table and the«bar». pour: mystery coffee,(1.35) –in peerless pot but not peerless qauality., probably wharehouse coffee –harsh, strong, some bitterness. drips: –burgers, steaks, breakfast mentioned on window –didn’t see menu or signs with pricing. –a maybe on repeat –very friendly korean lady, cashier, cook? –parking so so in this hood.

Great hole in the wall diner that serves breakfast and lunch. They added veggie burgers to the menu when I asked if they would! Food is made per your order and the couple who own it are sweet as peaches.

Walked in and asked for my regular, they called it out even without looking at me. Marlene decided on a cheese steak combo. This is the best breakfast place in the Bay Area. Sue cooks well.

I love breakfast and they take such good care of you there! Their hashbrowns are made fresh from actual potatos-not frozen. They owners are kiind and hilarious. The diner is small and very«greesy spoon» and it’s a second home. I love it there… i love them. I love the prices and the great food!

Kelly’s Kafe is a classic«greasy spoon» breakfast place, but in a good way. Nothing fancy; don’t expect French roast coffee, free-range eggs, or anything like that, but you will get good American-style breakfasts made to order by a hard-working couple. You can sit and watch the husband painstakingly remove the skins off parboiled potatoes for the hash browns, so you know they’re not frozen! Haven’t tried the lunch menu, but that’s not why I come here. Wheat free: Well, eggs and potatoes are good, right?!

This is your hole-in-the-wall place with good homemade eats. The husband and wife duo make hashbrowns from scratch in order to serve breakfast all day. My favorite is the denver omlette, hashbrowns and toast! People who have grown up in the area come back on weekends to eat, no matter the distance. Its like coming back home for breakfast.

Went here for lunch last week. It’s your basic diner. The menu is on the wall displayed with those press on letters. Had the bacon cheeseburger. It was cooked well and served with a lot of fries. Great prices. If you’re in the area and don’t feel like Mexican, try this out.
