Saw Nacho PIcasso, very cool venue, open space right in the timesecal. I went to the bar the Avenue to pass time, walked right over. and everything was chill and i got turnt up.

One of my favorite concert venues. Amazing bands and ok acoustics make this a fun spot. They really need to work on their lighting as their lifting wasn’t working for the main act so we enjoyed backlit main acts.

Great sound. Easy parking. Great bookings. Straight up oakland… and the police have closed it down. Everyone hopes it is temporary, but it sure doesn’t seem temporary!

Live music space right by my pad. Love it! Air conditioning was recently updated and food is on it’s way. Check out the website at — some good shows coming up! Cheers, TM

I wanted to like this place. Went for Sir Michael Rocks last year, and the place was PACKED. I stood against the mini wall in the middle of place because the floor got rowdy and moshpit-ish. Music was fine, but the venue was HOT. SOHOT. L I thought it was just the amount of people but we all were literally sweating abnormally from just Standing. I gave it another shot this year with Federico Aubele. The place was EMPTY compared to my last concert. I’d say MAX25 people. STILL A FURNACEASSOONASYOUWALKIN. They need some fans or AC or something. I Have some bands I like that will be playing there this summer and I am bummed I cant see them becuae they are playing at LEOS and I am Avoiding this place at all costs. Seriously, bring your own mini fan or something.

I managed to check out Leo’s when i was in town for the Burger Boogaloo. We went to one of the off shows with the Almighty Defenders and special guest Together PANGEA. Overall, not a bad little room. Sound was ok, staff were friendly, bar seemed to move pretty fast. No complaints. Why no 5 stars? Well, it’s not the greatest room i’ve ever been to, but it’s pretty solid. I’d check out a show here again for sure.

Came here last Friday night to see Metalachi. The drinks are good, cheap Modelo beer, bathrooms updated. But be prepared! This place packs them in and it was hotter than hell! It would have given more stars but the heat factor really dimmed a five star rating. I felt really sorry for the band, who also mentioned the heat.

This should possibly be 5 starts but I am not a regular on the live music scene to know enough. This is a great intimate venue — you really feel part of the performance. The room is a great shape, as everyone says the sound is excellent, the staff very friendly and professional, safe neighborhood within walking distance of all the Temescal favorites and very reasonably priced — saw Tal National last night for $ 15 at the door. Don’t wait to see a band you know — just go — you wont be sorry.

Came here to see The Stone Foxes on a whim this weekend, and boy am I glad I did. Awesome, intimate venue. $ 4 cans of Modelo, interaction with the bands — once the openers finished they grabbed a beer and joined us in the audience, and high quality acoustics. Would definitely return, even to see a band I wasn’t familiar with. Leo’s is a keeper!

Leo’s is clean, friendly, and overall a great venue. The acoustics are great and stage is essentially in the crowd, making the bands part of the party. Definitely recommend and will go back. We saw Stone Foxes and met the lead singer, selling shirts! The show started around 8:30 and main band at 11PM. We got there when it started and grabbed one of the 3 tables to sit at, thinking it would get packed. It didn’t get so packed that you can’t easily navigate through the crowd. ModeloModeloModelo.

This is a very cool club. Great sound system and acoustics. The music is top of the line. Saw a great line-up last night, the highlight of which was Los Diablos de Amor, a Latin funk band that plays it old school, but with blistering energy and killer percussions, guitar and keys. Very friendly staff and a huge parking lot. Will be back often!

For the love of music, this one looks like a winner! Leo’s should be a great venue and a great value. Brought to you by the New Parish team, it has all the potential: great room, cool staff, and location(where Telegraph intersect the 24). Looks like tix for shows will range from $ 7-$ 20 for DJs and bands alike. Advance prices are less than at the door, so scope out . If they have happenings most nights of the week, this place can’t help but create a really cool scene. Looks like shows on about four nights a week to start. The first thing I noticed, besides the cool doorman and professional looking layout, was the incredible SOUND. Went over to the sound board right away to ask about it. The guy on the board said, yeah the house sounds really nice, they put in great speakers. I can attest to that! F’n fantastic sound. Sound can make or break a venue for me. I like intimate venues too. Smaller than the New Parish, the room is almost on the scale of the Boom Boom Room. The square-ish shape means sight lines are pretty good. Especially because there’s a nice rise for the back half of the room. The back wall bar had three taps with good brews and larger selection of bottles. Decent cocktails. No wine in sight, but I didn’t ask. The deets: $ 7 beers, $ 6 for cocktails. EZ access from Hwy 24 and street parking — right by the old Marshall Steel Building and Temescal faves, the Wine Mine and Mariposa Bakery. History/trivia: Leo’s used to be an sound equipment shop called Leo’s Pro Audio that was here for over 50 years. Please note that I attended a free show for neighborhood folks. The Optimystics opened for the Droptones. I thought the Optimystics were very fun — talented young group, super-tight — out of Marin I think. The headliners, SF’s Droptones should have also put on a great show. They were a funky azz band and they jammed right through five or six sultry songs until they got to the part where the vocalist was supposed to come on stage. Uh, one problem, the singer didn’t show up. Stage fright? Hopefully, they’ll be back with her to perform again soon. They’ve got a tasty, jazzy Funk & Soul groove I’d like to luxuriate in sometime. I’ll be back soon to see how Leo’s handles a more crowded night. Four stars for now. The website mentions a diner to come too. So there will definitely be a second review if that happens.
