I had a great mens hair stylist in the Los Angeles area whom I trusted for many years. Being new to this area, Ive tried a few different places without much enthusiasm toward the end result. Maria at Grand Hairport did a great job assessing my type of hair and made style recommendations that turned out better than any previous cut. I highly recommend her to anyone out there. She is extremely knowledgable in all different kinds of styles.

Maria is fantastic. She’s really friendly and knowledgable when it comes to cutting all types of hair. A perfectionist!- she won’t let you leave until you’re satisfied with the cut. Maria even offered to make any adjustments for free if I wasn’t satisfied with my hair a couple days later.
Prices will be lower than any other stylist in the lakeshore/​grand area. Give her a call to schedule an appointment ;)

After losing my first steady hairstylist (she moved), I was afraid to try and work with anyone else. Maria made me feel very comfortable with the entire process. She made sure she knew exactly what I wanted to see, suggested different colors to correct what I currently had, and suggested treatments for a healthier hair. My hair was long, frizzy, overbleached, and looked quite unhealthy. Maria gave me the best haircut/​style — and even put some bangs on me… :) — trust me, that hasn’t happened in over 20 years. She corrected my color, and did a Brazilian treatment that oooh ohh, smelled sooooo good. Granted I couldn’t wash the treatment out for 24hours, I didn’t mind. I smelled like chocolate for a couple of days. The previous Unilocaler is correct, Maria will not let you out of the chair unless: #1 — YOU are satisfied, and #2 — SHE feels it’s perfect. It was a great experience, and I’m happy to say, I’ve found my new hairstylist!!!
*** Highly recommend making an appointment. Although their salon takes walk-​ins, Maria is usually busy with her own clients strategically scheduled to arrive one after the other. I used the word «strategically» because it seems even if she seemed to have clients back to back, from my experience — my appointments always started right on time.

Maria is an outstanding stylist for men. I have been her client for almost two years and she has kept me looking slick and fashion forward all this time. Her prices are very affordable and I always look forward to her shampoo and scalp massage… you will really feel like you’re on a self-​care retreat. Her hair cuts are precise, and she doesn’t let you out of the chair until it’s perfect and you’re absolutely thrilled with your new look. Go get a haircut already!
