Millennium Market

I just moved into this hood, and this has been my go to liq. It’s got a fairly comprehensive bottle selection, and craft brews. The prices may be a little bit steeper than I’d like, but that’s hood and convenience tax. I probably will eat here someday, but I come through here for those spur of the moment beers. It’s lovely, nearby, and never had bad service. Thank you for folks. If you stayed open till 2 that’d be an ideal situation.

This was a great store until the new owners took over. Very over priced. I only go there as a last resort. It sucks.

This is my spot for cheap champagne and ice cream bars. The guys at the counter are the best. Show them some respect and they will treat you with respect.

This is not a place you would think serves great food… BUT THEY DO!
If you are daring enough to stop in a not so great part of West Oakland and venture into the Millennium Market liquor store you find a real diamond in the rough.
There is no frills here — just tasty and quick food. There is a small ice cream and sandwich deli inside. They serve chicken strip sandwiches (so good), burgers, Philly cheese steak, fried chicken all w/​crinkle cut fries. I have even seen people order chili cheese fries, steak and cheese fries and other specialty items… but I personally have never tried them. Always the same old delicious chicken strip sandwich for me.
The portions served here are huge and without a doubt large enough to split with 2 people. The prices for what you get are very fair.
+ You can call in your order before you arrive so that you don’t have to wait.

I really do recommend this place for a shockingly great chicken strip sandwich and crinkle cut fries for 2.
Plus it is a full blown liquor store. Win –Win!
The only reason I will not give the fifth star is because parking is terrible and the area is pretty sketchy.

The prices are a bit high. But that’s what you get when there aren’t any actualy stores in West Oakland neighborhoods. The staff is awesome! Always kind and helpful. The guys who hang out around the store pretty much keep to themselves and don’t bother anyone.
It’s great when I don’t want to hop on my bike or walk to get something to snack on.

While it is true that the selection is a about the same as any other liquor store, I feel a sort of affinity for this store. I have never been harassed by anyone inside or outside of that store. A few of the «locals» have even complimented me on my baby and the people that work in the store are kind… I suppose I am biased, living down the street, but when I was a meat eater their cheeseburgers were to die for on a terrible hangover day… My partner actually just went to go fetch one now for himself…
So I wouldn’t be so quick to harshly judge a place just because the location has a bad reputation. That may have been true years ago but certainly isn’t true now.

…so I probably seem kind of out of place being here, but once or twice I was stuck at otherworld for kind of a long time, and it’s those times I’m so grateful for this place…

Ahhh Millennium,
This place don’t offer anymore than any other liquor store in the Oakland Bay Area. Since I’ve lived on this side of town, two gentlemen have been shot up in that mutha fucka, one right after I cut… he didn’t make it.
So, be quick about your hood smörgåsbord when you cruise through… all of West Oaklands finest hang out on any given… your more likely to get harassed by the owners though…

Just another Ghetto Mart in the hood.
This place is good cause it is less then a block from OtherWorld, which is a great place to party if you didn’t know.
Anyways, watch out for this hood and the locals out front of the Mart. If you’re not as smooth as I you may get messed with.
The guys that work here are pretty funny to by the way.
Maybe a little pricey on the beer though.
