As far as location goes, this place was very scenic. It is tucked way away up on a hill with gorgeous views surrounded by fields of vines. However, as far as the wine goes, I didn’t think it was the best. Some of their reds were decent, but none of the wines really stood out for me.

Loved this spot! It’s a bit off the main roads but worth the distance for sure. We were greeted by two sweet boxers — Sampson and Phoebe, happy dogs who clearly enjoy life on the property. We tasted, I think, 8 wines(yes we had a driver). They have a delicious Cab Frac and a fun and unique blend they call Gobblers Knob Red. Their wines run the gammet though from light to big and bold — we left with 6 bottles — they had a nice sale 4 for $ 50! The proprietor was delightful sharing stories of her dogs snake bites and adventures in Alaska. If you’re a wine lover or a new taster this is the perfect spot for kind people and delicious varieties!

This winery was great. It’s off the beaten path and beautiful. Loved all the wines. The owner was so nice and we really enjoyed talking with her.

A must-stop in the Umpqua Valley! Misty Oaks is tucked away in a gorgeous area off the beaten path. Their unique climate allows them to grow cool-climate varietals like Pinot Noir along with warmer-climate varietals like Malbec and Cab Franc. My favorites are the Pinot Blanc(for whites) and the Cab Franc(for reds). The owners, Steve and Christy, are so friendly and I love supporting their business.
