My five year old daughter has been taking Music Lessons from Elizabeth for the past several months, and she loves it! Elizabeth has a great way of balancing the traditional technical violin training with a fun environment. My daughter often brings in old time folk songs that she wants to learn from a CD she has had since she was little and Elizabeth is great about helping her to transcribe them and learn to play them. Her studio is warm and inviting and full of inspiring instruments. Her recitals are very sweet full of neighborhood kids showcasing their latest songs they have learned. She really encourages all the aspects of music including taking care of your instrument, reading music and writing your own music! I have also seen several adults taking lessons as well, wether your a child or an adult if your looking to learn violin, piano or singing go see Elizabeth at Mynah!

I have three kids and this is one of the most relaxing places in my whole life. My 7-​year-​old has been coming for piano lessons with Miss Elizabeth for a few months now and I really look forward to the tranquil half-​hour I spend in the waiting area each week. I like hearing the students scratch out tunes on the ukulele or trumpet, kicking back in the deep 70s armchairs and admiring the rehabbed sunny yellow piano. My daughter seems to love her lessons and is quickly gaining a basic foundation in music. I would recommend Mynah highly to any parent looking for a solid yet laidback approach to musical instruction. And you can’t beat the location — plenty of parking in a sleepy residential area, but just a few blocks from 580 and bustling Lakeshore.

I’m really excited about this thriving addition to the Cleveland Heights Neighborhood. This school offers a wide variety of music lessons under the tutelage of genius music chameleon Elisabeth Johnson.
We’ve been afflilated with Mynah since we attended the open house and met with some of the founders and teachers. What we found was a group of people with a wide variety of talents, friendly personalities, and obvious creative energy. We sent our children for group voice lessons to the Wee Glee Club, and now that they’re older (5 and 7) they are talking piano. Sometimes when we show up, Elisabeth is wrapping up a violin lesson. That’s seriously cool!
We have been encouraged by what we see so far, and think we’re pretty lucky to have our kids studying with a teacher with considerable musical talent and patience. They are having a ton of fun. If they don’t practice, I tell them Elisabeth might fire them, since she’s too awesome and popular to waste her time on the undedicated. They took this to heart and practice without complaint.
