Peter’s was a huge hit at our wedding. We placed our order the week prior and JoAnn got in touch with us right away! We got 4 of the 3.5 gallon tins for our 200 person wedding. Most everyone got a sample, but we almost wished we’d ordered more! Salted caramel turned out the most popular. The invoicing and email communication was clear and simple! They were even so kind to throw in clear glass jars with labels, scoops and small plates for the scoops to make it all pretty and presentable for our event. We just had to return within 5 days, which was easy to do and gave us another excuse to pick up a few more bags. The bacon cheddar is another personal favorite. All staff have been super friendly to us every time we’ve been in and the popcorn stays fresher than what we’ve had from other places. They also have a cute rewards punch card!

I had these at my cousin’s wedding reception and a popcorn bar was set up. I think featured Samoa, Salted Caramel, Buffalo and Cookies and Cream. All were very good and delicious. And liked the sweet flavors. Gourmet flavors are great. Food is 5. Selections are huge, and features other 2 new flavors seldomly. Next time will visit the store to buy other savory flavors. Presentation was done very well at th he reception.

Holy crap this stuff is addictive. I bought two small bags and vowed to only eat a small cupful when I got home. 1 bag is already empty and I’m eyeing the other bag. Yikes.

This is the best kettle corn and the customer service sends this place over to an elite status. Very personable customer service! I purchased 3 large bags of kettle corn for my mother’s retirement celebration. I placed a large jar of the popcorn on the dessert table that I created and turned my back for a split second and the jar was almost empty. There was a handful left and guests were looking for more. I mean what is in this popcorn… crack cocaine? It is good.

This was always my favorite Kettle Corn at the Bay Area Farmers Markets. I found out they have a brick-and-mortar retail location. so happy! The best selection, I’ve tried every variety and haven’t been disappointed yet. Friendly staff, and they have a punch card so when you fill it up, you get a bag for free. Open 11am-7pm Monday-Saturday Closed Sunday Try Cheddar and Original Kettle mixed. heaven in a bite!

I’m a sucker for great customer service and popcorn is my staple food. All that said, I don’t like kettle corn — so I avoided coming here. Until I researched it and found that there is a plethora of popcorn choices… In I went! I prefer my popcorn savory. The young man working was REALLY into popcorn and explained every flavor and method to me. It was awesome! I ended up with cheese and spicy cheese. Both are delicious. If you’re going to do something, do it well. Good job, and I’ll be back!

Hands Down the BEST kettle corn! I never realized how much I really liked kettle corn until I had my first bag from Peter’s Kettle Corn. It’s kinda addicting, I didn’t want to put the bag down. By far from what I’ve had, the Sea Salted Caramel has been the best. Their Maple Bacon is also very good. They have traditional and creative flavors you just can’t resist to try. The service is great, especially their worker Jocelyn. She’s very helpful and friendly. All I have to say is that if you haven’t tried Peter’s Kettle Corn you’re definitely missing out!

All the sugars & salts swirled on my tastebuds like a 1980s New York b-boy dancing. Compulsivity to stuff fist-full into mouth but scared to let any piece drop. Each kernel a perfect puff of popcorn! Ingredients local. Price decent. Street parking. I only had cheese flavor, but tried the chipotle(tasty but not in the mood). A small bag is like a meal for one. You deserve a break today with a foodgasm of popcorn.

Yummy what’s not to like about gourmet popcorn! You can taste test any of the flavors from plain to gourmet. Prices for the regular kettle corn and gourmet flavored kettle corns are listed on the board. There’s also a frequent buyer card, buy 9 and get the 10th free!

What can I add about this place. It has hundreds of 5 star reviews, and I agree. I found out about it from a Unilocal event a while back, and we recently decided to check it out while we were in Oakland. What a great decision! So let me just say this place has two real things going for it: 1) The popcorn is just delicious. Every flavor. Mix them together, whatever, all good. Some of the flavors leave this bit of a cool flavor on your tongue, which is a little unique. As mentioned in other reviews, it’s also a particular variety of popcorn that has less of a husk and pops into more of a round piece. Outstanding 2) The employees are amazing. They have basically infinite patience while you sit there and try every flavor. Sometimes more than once. It’s a great place, and almost worth going from SF to Oakland JUSTFORPOPCORN.

I’ve had Peter’s Kettle Corn at either the San Carlos or Burlingame Farmer’s Market in the past. Honestly I’m not a big fan of kettle corn, but I love Peter’s Kettle Corn. I find the typical kettle corn to be more on the sweet side and Peter’s Kettle Corn is just the right amount of sweet and salty. I’m from the Peninsula and was in Oakland for an appointment. We stumbled upon Peter’s Kettle Corn while looking around the area for a good cup of coffee. So surprised to know that they actually had a storefront I was super excited to walk over. It was about 11am and there was a short line. I was greeted with a smile and came to find they have numerous flavors available. They had the classic kettle corn, cheddar, matcha green tea, oreo, chipotle lime, and a couple of others I don’t recall. I opted for good old classic kettle corn. They have 3 sizes… small, medium, and large and also have tins. They also ask you if you want the bags sealed or not. I chose to get a medium size and wanted to dive right in so I didn’t need the bag sealed. So yummy! Such a great snack. I was so full from kettle corn that I didn’t eat lunch that day. Definitely a fortunate find!

If God created anything better than this kettle corn, he kept it for himself. It doesn’t get better than this. My favorite is hands down the MATCHAGREENTEAKETTLECORN(classic kettle drizzled w matcha white chocolate). It’s not too sweet or strong, but juuuust right. I think it’s a seasonal flavor, so call or email ahead to ask if they have it! Their customer service. If Peter and his team started a car dealership, I’d buy my car from them and refer my friends and they mamas too. These guys are honest, friendly, and excellent at what they do. I’ve gone in about 10 times over the past few months and walked out with the stupidest smile every single time. These guys know what’s up. There was a small hiccup in my preorder at my last visit and Peter added a little kettle love on the side to thank me for my patience. If they hadn’t already won me over, I’m now officially their number one fan. Sooooo what are you waiting for? Carpe diem! Do yourself a favor and head over to PKC! :)

I haven’t been to the store front but having tried it at a Unilocal event, it’s delicious! They have lots of clever combinations. I tried the classic, sweet and salty and a spicey bacon one… yum. Enjoy!

I have to thank Peter’s Kettle Corn for the bit of popularity I enjoyed at my friend’s birthday. I brought a couple of bags of PKC’s popcorn to the party and people could not stop talking about and eating the Spicy Chipotle Lime. The bowl was empty less that 10 minutes after I had opened the bag. People kept asking me where to get it. Of course I told them to Unilocal PKC so they can find out for themselves! That was my first time buying PKC. I’ve heard about them through various Unilocal events, but have not had the chance to visit their Brick and Mortar store in Oakland until now. I’m glad I did! I like my popcorn more savory than sweet and PKC has a nice selection of savory flavors. Loved the Spicy Chipotle Lime, but I also love the Cheddar and the Bacon Cheddar! I also brought a bag of Cheddar popcorn to the party, but we didn’t open it so the celebrant herself can enjoy it at another time. I tasted the Bacon Cheddar at the store, and it is good! Love the Bacon Flavor in it! On my second visit, I was hoping they’d have the Horchata, Oakland Mix and other interesting flavors, but they only had the ones I’ve tried already. I ended up getting a medium bag of the Cheddar(which the hubby loves) again and a small of the Salted Caramel. I’m a salted caramel nut, so I ended up buying sweet popcorn after all. You can buy PKC’s popcorn at select grocers in the East Bay and San Francisco, and at select Farmers Markets in Oakland. Check their website for more info. Thank God this place is a quick 4 mile drive on 580 from our house! I’ll definitely be going back for some more of their popcorn!

First time at their store and it smells so good… tiny, minimalistic place with packaged popcorn on the shelves(maple/cheddar bacon), bins of flavored popcorn and samples for you to try. I opted for the maple/cheddar bacon and it was not overly sweet or heavily coated… just simple and delicious flavors of salty, sweet, cheddarness. The next fave is the Saigon cinnamon covered popcorn. Will definitely return to get more of the same… had sample of the spicier one(forgot the name) with lime and thought it ok… i just felt heat without a lot of flavor but will try again next time. The lady working the counter was very patient, knowledgable and let us sample and make our decision. Definitely, get the popcorn open(even if for a gift) so you can snack before sealing and giving to that friend… shhhh…they don’t have to know you grazed before gifting it!

Had to come and get some of their cheddar popcorn after I had a taste at the Unilocal Family Oakland Zoo event. Their popcorn is seriously delicious. I am a sucker for popcorn. For Valentine’s day, don’t bother getting me a bouquet of flowers… get me a bouquet made of different bags of popcorn… now, we’re talkin’. But I digress. There was a nice young man tending the front counter. He was patient and sweet. I even grabbed more popcorn flavors than I had originally planned. I will be back!

Peter’s Kettle Corn sure knows how to throw a party! In celebration of their 1 year anniversary in Oakland’s Laurel District, PKC offered t-shirts, pizza, and, for the first 10 customers of the day, a gift basket! There was even a lady making animal balloons for kids! PKC’s popcorn is great, and this is coming from someone who isn’t even a huge popcorn fan in general. I love all their various flavors which run the gamut from classic kettle corn, spicy cheddar, sea salted caramel, cookies ‘n cream, bacon cheddar, and more. Classic kettle corn starts at $ 4.50 for a small, $ 6.50 for a medium, and $ 9.50 for a large with gourmet options ranging from $ 6.50 to $ 13.50. Metal tins are also offered(2 gallon at $ 30 or 3.5 gallon at $ 40), and house specials are available on a side wall at $ 7 a pop(pun intended!). I love that the classic and gourmet options are scooped on the spot in bags that you decide whether you want left open or sealed — DEFINITELY go the open route because they will fill those bags to the brim with just means more kettle corn for you! I left PKC a happy camper(albeit $ 80 poorer, which the hubs wasn’t thrilled about), but would I do it again? Heck yeah! If only PKC would open up an SF location! Only thing missing from the day’s festivities? Matcha Green Tea with Guittard White Chocolate(Peter let me know it’s too warm right now for chocolate. Bummer!). But don’t worry, PKC — I’ll be back once it makes your menu again!

This review is WAY overdue! Especially because I am ALWAYS buying Peter’s Kettle Corn every weekend at Farmers Market. Peter’s Kettle Corn just opened up their store in Oakland but still have vender stands at Hayward and Castro Valley Farmers Market. The flavors that they have are unbelievable! PKC is a taste that you have not experienced before, Let me just tell you, Once you start eating its hard to put the bag down! :) So far I have tasted: Maple Bacon Caramel, Sea Salted Carmel, and Oakland Mixx. They have TONS of other flavors that are amazing as well! Prices are not bad and VERY reasonable especially for the quality: ~Small-$ 3.50 ~Medium-$ 5.50 ~Large-$ 8.50 You can also order big bags as well! This place is a must visit when coming to Oakland!

Peter’s Kettle Corn(PKC) was started in 2007 by two brothers, John and Peter who are both Bay Area natives. They wanted to share their love for popcorn(kettle corn) by coming up with unique flavors and incorporating street food flavors that they had become accustomed to. Why use regular plain popcorn when you can use kettle corn which has that salty/sweet flavor mixed with other ingredients that you wouldn’t normally associate with kettle corn. PKC is based out of Oakland, California in the lovely and thriving Laurel District. The actual store is very nice and cute, very clean and welcoming and that first step inside you are overcome with the delicious smell of kettle corn. While the stand alone store gets plenty of business and stays busy they also have other ways of getting their product out to the public, they do cater, do corporate events, Unilocal events and they can be found at some of your local Farmer’s Markets as well. I am not a popcorn or kettle corn person at all, I actually dislike it but PKC has totally converted me to being a fan of kettle corn. I’ve heard great things about them for quite some time and decided to give them a try and I have also had their product at many Unilocal events, they are always a hit. While their Original flavor kettle corn is great and very tasty(not too sweet and not too salty, just right), I found the need and urge to step outside the box and my comfort zone to try their other flavors. Some of the flavors that they carry on the regular or rotate include: *Sea Salted Seaweed *Matcha Green Tea *Spicy Cheddar Cheese *Cookies and Cream *Sea Salted Caramel Some of my personal favorites happen to be the Oakland Mix, White Chocolate Drizzle and Maple Bacon Caramel, they are so flavorful and just melt in your mouth. I highly recommend anyone who loves popcorn to give them a try and even if you aren’t a fan of popcorn I guarantee after trying PKC you will love it!
