Priority Refrigeration

David has serviced the multiple refrigerators in our café, but when we got a used ice machine that failed to produce ice, I went with another technician based on a recommendation.
Bad decision.
5 months later, no ice. First it needed a freon charge. Then it was the board. Then it was the compressor. Then it was the expansion valve. I was tired of reverse engineering the thing. I just wanted frozen water.
Enter David. I called him to check on a refrigerator that was running warm. He came out 10 minutes after the call ended. He discovered it was a stuck fan and had it running in less than an hour. And the staff loved him. Before leaving, I asked him to check on the ice machine. He took a look and found a leak. It took him all of 5 minutes to figure out what was wrong.
He came in and fixed the ice machine. We finally have ice! I should’ve called David right when we got the ice machine. Lesson learned. I sent him over to the fellow business owner who recommended the other guy, and he promptly dumped that guy and is now having David handle his refrigerators and ice machines.

Priority Refrigeration is the Best. David is unbelievably talented. He is honest, reliable, efficient, and kind. We have had David out on two different occasions to repair four separate issues. David is a refrigeration genius. He solved all our issues, with affordable and timely fixes/​solutions. He repaired our commercial wine cooler, our Scotsman ice machine and our commercial refrigerator and ice maker. Priority Refrigeration also gets perfect marks on customer satisfaction as they checked back with us days later to make sure everything was working!

David did a great job fixing our refrigerators and our ice machine. It’s hard to find a good repairman. You are always wondering if what they are telling you is the truth or if it really needs fixing. David is honest and will tell you what you need or don’t need. His rates are very reasonable and you can count on him being there when he says he will be there. Thanks David!

David was WONDERFUL! The reach-​in refrigerator at our homeless shelter stopped cooling, which is a big problem as we have 30 hungry youth to feed every day! We received a quote from another company who wanted to replace the condensing unit for $ 2,300+ which is something we simply cannot afford-​being a non-​profit, we have to watch every penny. We called Priority Refrigeration for a second opinion, and I’m so glad we did! Not only is his service charge ¹⁄₃ of the price of other companies, he discovered that the condensing unit did not need replacing, but simply a new fuse. He recharged the coolant and cleaned all 3 refrigeration units for a fraction of what we would have paid the other company. All of our units are now fully functional, and we have David to thank! I cannot recommend Priority Refrigeration highly enough, we are so glad we called!

David was recommended to us five years ago and he’s been maintaining all of our refrigeration units since. He is a highly skilled tradesman with superhuman diagnostic abilities, and has rescued our café on countless occasions. On top of that, he’s a really nice guy who cares about his work and the well being of our business. Can’t recommend enough.

We own a small family run restaurant in West Oakland called FuseBOX. David was not only timely in responding to the emergency of our Traulsen over heating but he was fair in his price, fair in his assessments of other issues we were having with our walk in and he shared the knowledge willingly. It is rare these days to meet not only honest but fair. It matters.

Called on a Saturday morning and the technician, David, picked up right away. I told him about my refrigeration problem and he was able to come in within 30 minutes. The service call alone was $ 40 (I’m in Alameda), which was reasonable compared to other places I’ve reached out to on Unilocal.The refrigeration problem was fixed in about an hour. When asked about other appliances (which is not in his area), David tried his best to help. He was able to increased the flame on my stove and shut off the pilot on the ones that I don’t use. He also didn’t charge me for this part ;).
Overall, David is an honest family guy who offers quick and efficient work. I am satisfied with the service and very confident that I will return to Priority Refrigeration for all my refrigeration problems.

I have been using the same refrigeration company for years for my catering company. and having so many issues with my walk in. So i called in Priority Refrigeration to get a new set of eyes on the problems. WOW with in 2 minutes he told me 3 — 4 things that were going on with my walk-​in and had them fixed with in 30 minutes. My walk in is working great and all the issues i have been dealing with for a year are gone.

Great Service! Job was done fast and David was super friendly and helpful in explaining what the problem was and what we could do to prevent it in the future. He is now our go-​to guy for all our fridge/​freezer servicing and repair needs.

My commercial fridge (SO-​LOW 2 door) was having problems cooling down. I was advised to fix it myself, but when I opened up the fridge to take a look, I felt like a fish out of water. With all the responsibilities of being a small business owner, I really just wanted a professional to assist me in getting the fridge cold again.
I called David and we set-​up a window for him to show up. What was a nice surprise was that when he finished early at another job, he called me to see if I wanted an earlier appointment time. I thought that was a very thoughtful gesture.
It turns out that my fridge need a shot of free-​on and that a cap/​screw was pretty lose, which could explain why there wasn’t any free-​on in the fridge. I told David that I was interested in learning how to add free-​on myself, so he showed me how to attach the gauge and feed free-​on into the fridge. It seemed easy enough, but as a small business owner, I would rather have professionals handle things like this! I appreciate the time he took to teach me how to do the job, though.
The two of us laid out a plan in case I found the fridge wasn’t staying cold (i.e. evidence of a larger problem, like a leak). I felt really well informed after his repair and even better, my fridge is cold again!!!

We’ve been using David and Priority Refrigeration for years and highly recommend his services. He works efficiently so I always feel like I’m getting honest service. He’s done a variety of things over the years, changed our hood blower motor, repaired a deep fryer, replaced compressors and gaskets. He seems to be familiar with all of our Turbo air, Delfied and Manitowoc freezers and refrigerators. He has also helped us purchase used equipment over the years. 5 stars all the way for going the extra mile!

I found priority refrigeration on Unilocal and based on his reviews I decided to call. I explained the ongoing issues we were having in our bar with lots of equipment, True freezers, a big walk in cooler, beverage air beer boxes and keg coolers and a Delfied unit. He performed maintenance on all the units and changed a thermostat in another, added freon in the other unit, total bill was less then $ 375! I was previously charged $ 400 just for a thermostat from my past service company… he came, assessed the problems, repaired the problems and left, it’s been a few months and everything is still running great. Will be using this company from now on!

David was absolutely incredible. He came less than an hour after we called him and knew exactly what to do to fix our fridge problem. We own a local coffee shop and every penny counts. Unfortunately, the repairman before David, bought and installed the wrong size fan and relay kit. Ugh. But David had the part replaced and working within two hours of showing up, including a trip to the parts store! If you need commercial fridge repair, David is the guy!

Okay so I had this guy from another company parked at my place for FIVE HOURS who never figured out what the problem was. David came out and was professional and friendly without talking my ears off and got the problem diagnosed and fixed in two and a half. Friendly and professional and, reasonably priced (I checked with another service company afterwards). Highly recommend.

I own a high volume restaurant and our walk in freezer decided to crap out on us in the middle of service. After many attempts to contact our usual walk-​in service company with no response I was referred to Priority by a friend and fellow restaurant owner. David was out to my restaurant in less than 30 minutes and was able to fix the problem and get it back down to temp and more importantly HOLDING temp ever since. He probably saved me over $ 8000 in product that day. He was professional and explained everything to me. His prices are very fair. I’m really happy that I found a reliable walk-​in service that I can count on in a crunch. I would recommend Priority to any business owner who wants some peace of mind.

My walk in cooler was running hot so I called Priority Refrigeration. David came down to check it out and found it was low on freon. He found a leak in my evaporator and did some welding and repaired the leak. He refilled it with freon and cleaned my condensor coil and now it’s cooling at 36 degrees. The repair was fast and cheaper then I though it would be. He gave me a free service call if I Unilocaled him. Thanks for the fix!

Service top notch, very professional service. I had 2 true refrigerators that both decided to not work and I started panicking as anyone in the restaurant industry knows that losing two refrigerators is not cool. Called priority refrigeration and they arrived sooner than expected bonus! Long story short Honest very reasonable prices and 5 star service! I am very happy with the result of the work done and am now exclusively going to use Priority Refrigeration for any problems in the future!

My Beverage Air freezer went out on me, of course right after I stocked it with 150 pounds of ribeye and chicken… I called my regular guy and he said he couldn’t make it out until Friday! So I ended up asking the restaurant next door if they knew a mechanic and they referred me to David.
He was able to come out later that day, figured out what was wrong in 10 minutes and changed some relay capacitor thing he had already stocked in his van. The freezer was working it took less then an hour, and on top of that he gave me a 1 year warranty.
He said that if I gave him a honest Unilocal review he’d do a maintenance on my other unit for free (which he did). Great work and fast service, I’ll definitely be using him again.
