This isn’t Razzo’s, but their salads have the same names, so I thought it couldn’t be THAT much different. I was wrong. They should have just changed the names of the salads as well so the expectations are different as well.

The pizza was good. I think I was just a little disturbed that it only took two minutes to cook. Even in the most impatient, instant-gratification microwave society on the planet, surely two minutes cannot be enough. I’m still impressed by the selection of salad dressings. This is a good place to go if you need food NOW, or, like sooner.

Razzo’s has the best salads, hands down. I highly recommend the Laurel. The honey beet dressing is soooooo good.

The only thing that i really get there is salad. Really cheap and convenient when i want something quick and healthy. Their pizza wraps are pretty good but greasy! Taking out is better than eating in. Nothing spectacular.

The food really isn’t bad… it isn’t really good either. Cash only… probably one of two places in Oakland that is cash only. The other being the hookers off lower San Pablo Avenue. Hmmm… just an assumption on that. I fear that my pizza is going to come out with the trademark Vans checkerboard shoe print on it. The kids here just seem a bit deviant. I was the same way at 16. I don’t recommend eating in the store… they have not had napkins even once. Kudos for the airplane sticking out of the front of your store though.

The only thing I ever eat from Razzo’s is Ryan’s Buffalo Chicken Pizza. In one word it is DELICIOUS. I don’t have the slightest idea how the rest of the food is, and to be honest I don’t really care. Extra ranch is a must. One of the downfalls as someone else pointed out is it is cash only, who carries cash these days, anyway?

Pretty darn good flat bread salads. Cute young staff of little skater boys, quick and cheap. Cash only which kinda blows, and sometimes the pizza is a little on the undercooked side so I tend to stick to my yummy salads.

Like all bad stories, this one starts out… I was drunk and really hungry. Kidding… I’d have probably had a better time if I were drunk. The kids running the place were nice enough and there was a cute woman that walked in to pick up her order while I was waiting, but that is about the end of the nice things I have to say about the place. I walk in. Walk up to the counter. I talk with the guys working there. They look like they’re having a great stoned time. I order two small pizzas and a salad. I’m in a hurry. I tell them this. They have signs that offer pizza in a minute. I ask how long its going to be… «Give us just a minute.» I pay. I wait.(a few minutes pass) I notice the guys behind the counter making what look like salads and a pizza. I ask them how longs its going to be after a few people walk in and grab their food(cute woman included). It’ll be just a minute. I wait.(more minutes pass) I go up to the counter again… They look bothered. confused… lost. They hand me a salad. I wait some more.(maybe this was a bad idea). Me:(again) How long for the food? Pizza guy: Uhh… what was your order. I tell them my order again. Pizza guy: Dude, Let me check. Me: What do you have to check… There are only two of you there. Either you made it or not. Pizza guy: Ahh… man… hang on a sec. Me: Dude… Where’s my pizza? Pizza guy: Where’s your pizza dude? Me: Dude… I’m not kidding. I paid for two pizza’s. You said they’d only take a minute to make. 15 minutes later, I’m still here and I’m still hungry Where are they? Pizza guy: Ahh. dude. where’s your pizza? Just a minute. Yeah… it was that comical. I’d say… If you smoke pot… have plenty before you go hang out here. You’ll need it. In the end, I can make better pizza faster using duct tape, goat shavings and old spare tires. Move along… there’s nothing to see here. Microwave pizza is better than this stuff. Salad was ok. God I need a drink now. I’m giving one star more than they deserve for the sheer story of it.

Friendly service, cheap, and FAST. Recommend if you aren’t at all particular and just kindof want something to eat on the go or later in the evening.

Razzo’s is pretty easy to ignore or never notice. Tiny storefront on Lakeshore, and it’s only been there a couple years. They have pizza, calzone(they call it a pizza wrap), salads, and salad wraps, a pretty good selection. The stuff is pretty good and quick. Don’t plan to eat there; technically it is possible, but you won’t want to. There will either be teens hanging around, or it will be kind of dirty. The prices are pretty good. The teenagers who work there have not been trained in customer service. One time I ordered the veggie pesto pizza wrap. Then a minute later they told me they were out of pesto. I said ok, maybe use marinara instead? Then they came back and said they have no mushrooms. Ok, substitute a different veggie? By the time I got the thing, it was totally different from what was listed on the menu, but still quite yummy. Of course, they probably should have given me a free drink or something, since I had already paid for the thing and been waiting, but whatever. Especially since their menu says«No Substitutions.» I guess that only applies if they actually have the stuff they’re supposed to.

speaking for the Laurel salad… I gotta give this place it’s props. I didn’t expect to get a good salad. And yet… there it was… color me surprised. Now if I could get them to turn off the loud rap music, the wait wouldn’t have seemed so bad.

«Hey, I’m hungry. What’s a quick and cheap nearby place for a salad/pizza/sandwich?» Any visitors/guests I have that ask this question are directed to Razzo’s. For $ 4 – 5, you can get really yummy food that takes minutes to make. Their pizza is supposed to be famous, because they use some sort of flash-cooking technique. Admittedly, I go here for their flatbread salads. Imagine warm cheesy garlic bread topped with a chicken caesar salad. Soooo good! Sometimes they overdue it with the dressing/grease, but c’mon, this isn’t Chez Panisse. This is Razzo’s.

You get what you pay for in this case. It’s super quick and very greasy. If you’re low on dough(sorry, bad pun), then get your cholesterol spike right here. If you don’t mind the grease, then not a bad option. Really, it’s not like you’re coming in for fine dining, you’re coming in because you need comfort food in a hurry.

It’s fast, and surprisingly good. The pizzas are a little greasy. The salads are good. The prices are GREAT! There isn’t really much«atmosphere» here… I suggest going here on a night when you don’t want to cook and getting it to go. PS — They’re one of the few food places in this area that’s open late night — until 11pm most nights! Be warned, it’s cash only! ETA — update. I have branched out and tried more things on their menu, and I’m boosting them a star. I always get the dressing on the side to avoid gooey salad. The Ceasar and the laurel are both fabulous. The pesto pizzas are a hit!

Worst pizza I have ever purchased(I don’t like giving poor reviews, but it needs to be heard). Should have stayed home and cooked the Red Baron in the freezer.

It is easy to miss or if you notice it, it is equally easy to dismiss when you read the call for 2 minute pizza. I did. I finally in desperation one afternoon turned to Razzo’s and ordered one of their favorite greens and what I got, I was happily satisfied with. I have tried almost all of their salads but far and away the best is the Laurel. It comes with this amazing honey beet dressing to compliment the fuji apples, candied walnuts, blue cheese and fresh field greens.
