Rico’s Tacos is in a camper in the parking lot of the 1025 E.12th St, near where the niman ranch meat plant was. menu: quesadillas, tortas, burritos(5), tacos, aqua fresca. sampling: lengua(tongue) and asada(beef)1.50 –tongue was tender and soft, asada a little chewy. came with fresh radish slices and stalks of green onions… –portions seem generous, not sparse. 3,5 stars. frijoles refritos: –unsure if the meats are cooked here, maybe cooked elsewhere –pretty good service. –parking in front or in lot.

I noticed a grand opening sign for rico’s tacos as i was passing by e. 12th. I thought it was a restaurant, but its a taco truck inside a little lot next to the infamous green house on e12th and 10th. The menu is limited right now Tacos — asada, al pastor, tripas, lengua, cabeza for 1.50 Burritos with choice of meat in reg($ 5) and super($ 6 w/sour cream and cheese) Beverages and bags of chips also available. Wanted to try their agua frescas, but only had horchata today, i passed. Tacos were good, the meat was chewy. i would prefer to get them elsewhere, but i like that they are closer than other trucks when im visiting my parents. Expected more meat and bigger portions for paying a bit more than other taco trucks.
