One of my Trusty sidekicks sent me a text inviting me to check out a Pop Up Biergarten in Downtown Oakland. That really peaked my curiosity. So I arranged to meet my Sidekick at the 19th street Bart Station. So I jumped into my Whip and rolled to Bart and Met my Lovely Sidekick and Rolled to the Rosamunde Pop Up Biergarten. We stashed my Whip down the street. And Street Hiked to Classic Cars West, Where the Pop Up Biergarten was. Very Cool Plenty of Eye Candy 1966 Chevelle Drop Top, 57 Chevy Coupe, AC Cobra, Ford Galaxy, Road Runner, 67 Chevelle, Porche Carrera and a 59 Apache. Then a Outdoor bar with an outdoor grill with Rosamunde Sausages for sale. There was also Picnic Tables Set up, Some nice looking women chilling out and a few art gallery’s open on the block. I had a Great Time especially with my Trusty Sidekick.

Rosamunde, of Mission Street and Haight Street sausage grilling fame,( ) is hosting a Pop-Up Biergarten on Saturday afternoons at Classic Cars West in Downtown Oakland. David, the Assistant Manager from the Mission Street location, told me that they also set up for First Friday Art Murmur. If you are in the neighborhood on a Saturday, from 2 p.m. until 8 p.m. you can swing by and enjoy their sausages cooked on an outdoor grill. They also have a vegan hot dog option. Today they had a selection of four sausages: * Beer Sausage(Spicy Pork + Beef) * Provence Sausage(Savory Pork) * Chicken Merguez Sausage(Tunisian Spiced) * Vegan Chipotle Sausage(Potato) Toppings can be added, such as peppers, sauerkraut, and various sauces. They have a rotating beer menu, with four to six beers, as well as wine on tap. This afternoon, they had Drake’s Hefeweizen, an Oregan Hefeweizen, a Triple Belgian, and a Fort Bragg Lager. It was really nice of them to let us sample before settling on our choices. Their brews on tap are excellent! Another nice option are their non-alcoholic selections of Orangina and Limoncello sodas, as well as bottled water. There are six tables with umbrellas, as well as several low chairs and a low table in the outdoor yard where you can sit back, relax, and listen to hip music pumping from the speakers set up next to the grill. Venture inside Classic Cars West to oogle their beautifully restored vehicles ready for sale. This is a great place to bring a group of friends to chill on a sunny, lazy Saturday afternoon, and if you’re lucky, check out the artists’ open studios next door as well.
