Yehudit and Rabbi Gershon are INCREDIBLE, and if you hire them to plan/​officiate your wedding you will be so happy you did. We hired them for our wedding last month (I am Jewish and my now-​husband is agnostic) and could not have been more thrilled with the outcome. They were easy to work with, made us laugh and smile through the stress of wedding planning, and provided us and our guests with an unforgettable wedding ceremony.
We especially loved Rabbi Gershon’s thoughtful explanations and additions to our wedding ceremony, as they were some of the most memorable, joyful, and emotional moments of the day. Everyone we talked to after the wedding said that Rabbi Gershon was one of the most amazing officiants they had seen and directly credited him (and us, for finding him) with making our wedding so special.
I am so glad that they were such a big part of our wedding day. Our ceremony would not have been the same without their warmth, wisdom, and guidance, and for that we are forever grateful!

How could I have missed leaving a review for this amazing woman? Almost five wonderful years ago, I planned a destination, interfaith, wedding completely over the phone from Houston. Yehudit and her husband and team created the most beautiful, romantic and perfect day for my husband and I. And she pulled it together in less than 3 weeks! You read that right, Yehudit helped me plan my wedding, completely sight unseen, from halfway across the country in THREE WEEKS!
Every single detail was exactly as I imagined. And as I stood there, under the chuppah, next to the Golden Gate Bridge, wrapped in sunlight, my husband and I cried such tears of joy.
Now, two beautiful children later, the memories of the perfect day that started the life our family are cherished. Thank you for making the best first day of our life together.

I can’t thank Yehudit enough for her wisdom, guidance and grace in our wedding planning process. She helped us plan an extremely meaningful wedding ceremony that drew from both of our cultures (Korean and Jamaican, respectively), with a nod to the Catholic tradition (even though we’re getting married in a yoga pavilion in Roatan, Honduras). Yehudit pulled up research about both of our traditions, and proposed simple ideas to integrate cultural traditions into our wedding that felt fluid and meaningful.
Yehudit is clearly experienced. As we walked through our ceremony script, she offered bits of advice from vows to A/​V tips to honoring our ancestors. We really could not have done this without her. She is also just a pleasure to work with. She was always prompt in e-​mail and phone correspondence, and organized in providing next steps for all of us in the wedding planning process. Yehudit is incredibly receptive and kind, and really valued our opinions and guided us gently in the direction of a really beautiful ceremony!!!
OH, and I forgot to mention, we did all of this remotely! We live in New York City, and Yehudit in the SF bay area. Everything was communicated via e-​mail, conference call, and Google Docs. So even virtually, she was successful in pulling this all together. THANK YOU YEHUDIT! We highly recommend her to anyone looking to plan a unique, meaningful ceremony from someone who clearly has experience, and highly values the clients she works with.

Yehudit is brilliant!!! I contracted her services after learning she also rents out Audio Visual systems!!! This came in handy for a recent workshop I was hosting in Larkspur, Ca.
She was on time (super punctual), and she was ready to make it happen.

I had the chance to work side by side with Yehudit Steinberg-​Caudill of Sacred Events recently at a wedding. I was amazed at her organizational skills, calm and focused demeanor, and complete dedication to the client’s best interests. Before we met, I had a chance to speak with her on the phone with the client and I found her to be very professional; a seasoned pro at event planning.
Many wedding event planners can be very nervous, pushy, and unpleasant to work with, and also clueless about the flow of events. But Yehudit was a breeze. This particular wedding had some complexity to it’s flow, cross-​cultural aspects between the families, and was a rather lengthy event. As soon as my team and I arrived to set up, Yehudit and her assistant were accommodating, instructive, and very helpful in making suggestions where to set up, how the lighting should go, and discussing with me the timeline in great detail, as is always needed when vendors get together prior to the event. When it was time to take a dinner break later in the night, she made certain all the vendors and my people had a meal waiting.
Everything was very smooth and clear. Transparency is so important on these sort of events. I recommend her very highly to future wedding clients! I am very much looking forward to working with her again in the future.

From the initial meeting with Yehudit and Rabbi Gershon, we knew that our ceremony would be in good hands. They were very professional and organized and very nice. They knew what questions/​details to bring up before we even thought of it ourselves. I mean come on, who wouldn’t be a little nervous planning an interfaith wedding? We eventually had a meeting with Father Tom and he was a pleasure to work with as well — very attentive to details and worked well with Yehudit and Rabbi Gershon. You could tell that they had a system down and worked well for years. Yehudit was very respectful of both faiths and cultures (Jewish + Catholic). No one felt left out. Every important aspect of our faith that we wanted in our ceremony was there. Yehudit also worked well with our ceremony coordinator and asked questions that we didn’t even think to ask our videographer. Details details details. Love it! Wedding ceremony was exactly as we had planned and rehearsed. No glitches. It turned out even better than we had imagined. :) We will be forever grateful because it was such a beautiful private Ketubah ceremony and interfaith wedding ceremony.

Bottom Line: If you need help planning a wedding of ANY type, you’d be lucky to have it put together by Yehudit and officiated by her husband, Rabbi Gershon.
Background: My family is Jewish by ancestry, though we lost most of our customs in the last 2 generations. My wife’s family is Mexican Catholic. Also, though we were married in California, we’ve been living in Iowa while my wife completes medical school. This means we didn’t have a lot of input to give Yehudit while she planned, and we weren’t able to come out to meet in person or show her the wedding site.
The Work: Yehudit is a masterful planner (she seemed to know even more than her husband did about what was going on). She made sure to create a shared document for us to manage details and update changes throughout the whole process. She also drove the planning process, ensuring important decisions were made, that everyone understood them, and that everyone was pleased with the result.
On the day of the wedding, she made sure every detail was ready to go, properly practiced, and generally perfect. The Rabbi conducted a BEAUTIFUL service, and friends and family on both sides told us how inspired they were to see a wedding that so well incorporated both of our family’s traditions– meaning both Jewish and Catholic, but also Mexican. Above all, everyone said it was fun, interesting and beautiful, and we felt like everything we wanted was included.
I would absolutely recommend Yehudit and her husband for any wedding (in fact, I’ve already had two sets of friends from the wedding ask to get their information). They made sure all of our questions were answered, everything we wanted was included, helped us make decisions in the places where we were unsure, and in general ensured an unforgettable day.

Yehudit was enormously helpful in planning my son and daughter-​in law’s wedding. She approached the project with an open mind and helped them to plan the perfect wedding. They did not want anything very conventional but they also did not want to abandon all the traditions of their very different cultures and religious traditions. Everything was beautiful and we are so grateful for the expertise that Yehudit brought to the process.

Just fresh back from a mini-​honeymoon and wanted to give a 5 star recommendation for Yehudit and David of Sacred Events.
We had originally thought about eloping which got side-​railed from family… sooo… it turned into a SOUP-​to-​NUTS 115 people interfaith (chinese-​jewish) wedding along the sonoma coast in under 3mos to prepare and low-​and-​behold… YEHUDIT with her interfaith expertise to the rescue!!!
Sacred events was super-​responsive to my fiancée (now wife’s) concerns as well as mine throughout the process.
Extremely detail organized for the ceremony making sure all elements that were requested by both sides (Tea Ceremony for my wife of Chinese descent et al… to the Glass-​breaking/​Hora-​dancing cavorting of a Jewish wedding…) all was blended seemlessly and was really really special.
plus, Yehudit & David’s extensive planning experience REALLY paid off when the location we had the event was a bit less experienced that we had originally planned… they knew EXACTLY what was needed to pull of a wedding which even included last minute change from TENTED venue to a move indoors due to Gale-​force winds (too much prayer for ‘no rain’… didn’t think about wind (who knew?)).
Also, they had extensive experience with local vendors and were able to steer me to amazing resources in my stated budget for the other aspects of the wedding we needed (DJ, paper products (invites etc…)) which also were 5-​star Unilocal quality.
BOTTOM LINE: if you are thinking about whom to trust such a big important day to, think no more… Sacred Events is your place to go.

Yehudit is a passionate, detailed, creative woman with an extensive knowledge of planning top notch, meaningful and spiritual weddings. She created an absolutely beautiful, authentic interfaith wedding ceremony that left my family and guests in joyful awe. Yehudit worked very closely with me and my (then) fiancé to carefully listen to our needs, and she was sensitive to both of our unique cultures (Chinese/​Christian and Jewish). For example, I had no idea that huge amounts of pure white flowers were really inappropriate for a wedding (that incorporated Chinese elements) until Yehudit stepped in. Even though Yehudit and I had spent a lot of time talking through details, it was clear that the wedding came together because of her behind-​the-​scenes magic. Her recommendations for the cake, ceremony and reception layout, Chinese lion dancers, etc. etc. helped to make the wedding simply gorgeous. She made sure that all of the vendors were «on-​board» (not an easy task!). My wedding was a flawless, celebratory, joyful day that perfectly captured the family traditions and intercultural rituals of our unique backgrounds. Family and guests cannot stop talking about our wonderful wedding!
