Owner Derick Ion should not be trusted. On the night of February 28, 2015, he agreed on a rental fee for this space to be used for a private event. A few hours into said private event, Derick Ion demanded more than double the original booking fee from the promoter. When thousands of dollars did not materialize to appease him, he called in some tough guys who scared them away with threats of extreme personal violence: the last promoter that stayed around to argue his case with Derick Ion had his head slammed in a door. Afterward, Derick Ion, in a fit of rage, demanded that everybody leave the venue immediately and that all the things that had been brought that night were *his*. Fortunately, the promoter called the cops, and my sound gear was evacuated safely. Unfortunately, there was about $ 5000 of lighting gear that the lighting folks did not take down before leaving for the night that was not there when they returned.
