Schenk Elizabeth Betsy Psychot

Please note: I do not see Betsy for counseling, but I see her for supervision. (I’m working on my hours to become a licensed clinical social worker). I am reviewing her as a clinical supervisor, not as a therapist.
Betsy has been in the field for over 30 years & has a lot of experience. I do not see her only as my supervisor, but as my mentor as well. She has one of the sweetest personalities & she’s very open & caring. As a supervisee, I am getting the support & guidance that I need to help me become a better therapist.
I can ask Betsy any question & I can feel confident that she’ll guide me in the right way. If she doesn’t know a lot about a subject, she’ll let me know.
She has 2 offices — one in the Piedmont area (across from Fenton’s Ice Cream) & one near Lake Merritt. I didn’t want to meet with a supervisor in Oakland b/​c I would have to commute from SSF, but after meeting with Betsy, I felt like the drive was worth it!
I could only assume that she’s a wonderful therapist, since she’s a great supervisor. I’d definitely recommend her to anyone needing therapy or supervision.
