This store is across from the W. Oakland BART– only reason for the 2nd star,.
I’ve been in several times lately and it’s worse with new ownership. The guy at the register doesn’t say hello, or can I help you, he waits for the customer to speak. It’s as if it’s beneath him to greet a customer. The previous family who owned it was friendly and customer oriented. These folks can’t hide their disdain for the neighborhood and the people. I once heard (presumably) the owners son arguing loudly with a customer, trading insults, saying «When I take over this place, I’ll over charge you». I won’t give them my money again.
