Tacos el Jaliciense

Oh, I love this taco truck. It’s my absolute favorite. And being a girl from East Los Angeles, that says a lot.
I have been going to this taco truck since my old boss Stan at the East Oakland Boxing Gym took me there for the first time in 1996. And over all these years the tacos, burritos and tortas have stayed consistently the same… delicious. Whatever it is, it’s in the meat marinade. And their meat is nice and lean, never fatty.
I stop here EVERY TIME I drive down hwy 880 for whatever reason. My favorite is two carne asada tacos with everything, a side of rice and beans and a horchata for «HERE.» The burritos are awesome and they even have tasty fish tacos.
The truck is located in a parking lot at the corner of Hegenberger and Baldwin, right across the street from Public Storage and the Employment Office. They are open early morning (I went at 9:30am this morning, my earliest taco time yet) and leave back to Taco Jaliciense headquarters just before sunset. So come sunset, you’re outta’ luck!
