This guy stops also across from Laney College (side of the museum) and also around 12^th and Madison. The guy gives you huge portions for the price. He’s got Burritos, Tacos, Nachos, Quesadillas, Tortas, Taco Salads, Fries, and a few other things. I highly recommend the Nachos. You get a ton of stuff and it’s not all chips like some places (like Taco Bell) Of the meats, the pastor and the chicken are recommended.

Walking back to my car after lunch at Chop Bar (
), I saw this taco truck (
) and grabbed a couple of al pastor tacos ($ 1.25). They have the usual assortment of tortas & burritos and a $ 1.50 Super Taco option which the lady said had cheese and, iirc, beans (maybe sour cream?)
The tacos come on a styrofoam tray with plastic wrap bucking the usual trend of plates & foil (
). The double corn tortillas were lightly grilled and a decent amount of meat with some salsa & onions (
).
The salsa was way too hot and obliterated the flavor of the tender pork. It could have been lengua or carne asada and they probably all would have tasted the same with this salsa.
I’d give them another shot, but ask for the salsa on the side.
