I went on a Sunday afternoon to try the place out… They had no pico de gallo, avocado or guacamole. They didn’t even have enough al pastor to fill my order and asked if I wanted the carne asada instead. Since I got the bottom of the barrel and they didn’t even have the basics to make a burrito how I wanted it to be made… they lost major points. I should have gone to a truck instead. La Mejor didn’t live up to the name or my expectations.

the ‘hood has another taqueria which features mexican breakfast(5.95) mexican especials, omlettes, and breakfast items for reasonable prices. with the growing numbers, this area is looking like a barrio. the carna asada regular burrito(4.50) had much gristle on the meat. it was lengthy and bigger than average in girth. radishes and hot salsa was given out freely. friendly service here with a small dining area and a small parking lot. there’s no need to go south of the border to think outside the box, go here, not to the anemic bell.(hmm, this place looks like it was a bell at one time).
