I absolutely loved this space! From the art on the walls, the rooms, the set up and of course the amazing staff! One thing I really liked was that every room even had a name that reflected their mission/​vision and what I liked most about that was that everything about the space reflected my personal core values in addition to the theme of my event. The room I rented was called «inspiration.» It was perfect! All of the materials were set up on time, the tables, chairs, projector, speakers, everything I asked for.
When I first met with Semajh, to get a tour of the space and to talk out the details of my event she was super helpful. She helped me think about little details I hadn’t thought about before and assured me that her staff would assist in various ways, which they did. Her staff even went above and beyond what they were expected to assist with and for that I am truly grateful.
Hosting my birthday/​poetry reading and workshop at The Educator’s Institute was one of the best decisions I’ve made as far as choosing the right space. My guest had such a wonderful time there and I will most definitely be using the space again for future events.
If you are looking for an awesome space, positive and professional staff to connect with for your event, this is the space to do it.

Our organization needed a meeting room for a board retreat, and wanted to be in or near downtown Oakland. We feel very fortunate to have found Educators’ Institute – the space is comfortable, very well appointed for meetings, and beautiful, with all the needed amenities. We loved the room, and the art throughout their suite.
Semajh and everyone we worked with were helpful, professional, and warm, and did a great job of setting the stage and the tone for a successful meeting. (Nice surprise to see welcome signs for our group on both doors of the building, as well as the suite. It made us feel welcome, and I am sure it helped people know where to go!)
Location is great, and very accessible, and we appreciated the coffee and tea setup, as well as the good recommendation for our catered lunch.

This is a great space for an awesome price. The location is great. Parking is pretty good too if you come after 5pm.
I rented out the space for a presentation for my association and it was very comfortable, spacious and had up-​to-​date furnishing. The AV equipment was even included in the rental price.
The staff is very accommodating, helpful and they were a joy to work with. We will definitely be using the space again.

BEST MEETING SPACE EVER!!!
Semajh is amazingly helpful! She was early. She helped set up lunch and dispose of trash. She set up one of their laptops, since ours wasn’t working with the projector. She provided a box full of scissors for our activity. She has a great attention to detail. She was welcoming and thoughtful. WE LOVE HER!
The space is beautiful. We had such a great retreat, and we owe a lot of it to how smooth the logistics ran because of the site.
Okay people, book this place!

This is a great place to hold a seminar or small event. It is really convenient from BART or there is plenty of parking nearby. It has a great layout with all the tools you need for a successful training. The staff here is great to work with — Semajh and Michelle were both key in making sure we had thought of everything. The rates were very competitive too!
I highly recommend this rental space and we look forward to using it again!

I have used the meeting space at the educator’s institute for several work training and meetings. Semajh and her team are great. There are several different meeting spaces that you can rent, all at reasonable rates. We will be using the educator’s institute for many years to come!

I’ve held my marketing course several times at The Educators’ Institute this year since they’ve opened their doors in January. Their space is colorful and bright, the staff is great to work with and very courteous, and they have a variety of amenities that they offer that helped me have a terrific workshop over three days.
It’s certainly not your typical «meeting space» with high ceilings and skylights in several of the training rooms either. It’s just two blocks from Jack London Square so there are plenty of restaurants and hotels within walking distance, public transportation and a safe city owned parking garage.
If you’re looking for a warm and inviting place to hold your next meeting, class or workshop, I highly recommend The Educators’ Institute!

I’ve used The Educators Institute several times to teach my own classes. The facility is easy to get to from the freeway, and plenty of parking is next to Yoshi’s (1−½ blocks away). The atmosphere is inviting, staff are very friendly and helpful, and it has everything I need, including free wifi access for the students and me.
Because it’s centrally located to the greater Bay Area, near the airport (where some students come from out of town), I will continue to use the EI and recommend it to others.
