I have to say that today’s experience was much better than my first experience coming here. The people working there were polite and helpful and there was hardly anyone in line! And although there wasn’t a long line it still took some time to get through some people, but again, not the same long usual wait time in my opinion.

Worst UPS store on the face of the planet. The young guy with the beanie was very helpful but otherwise one of the Latinas was not helpful in the slightest. One of the computers was not working properly and she pretty much left me to sort with it on my own. When I asked if they could print a label for me she said no due to security reasons and went on to the next customer. She made me feel totally ignored. Never going back again. Bad customer service.

These people are terrible… they charge through the roof and don’t even say thanks… another good reason to vote for Donald Trump is it comes to that!

The young woman helping me did a great job wrapping my packages so nothing would get damaged, and made sure everyone who came in was helped right away. Very impressed!

I prepared a package that included a Macbook and other sentimentally valuable items. I put insurance on the package and waited for it to arrive at its destination. The package never arrived and is still considered lost after two months. When I tried opening a lost package claim, the employees at this store informed me that the package did NOT have insurance on it and I would only be able to claim $ 100 + the cost of shipping and not the total amount of the insurance I had purchased. I am completely sure that I purchased insurance because of the laptop; clearly this points to employee incompetence in correctly processing these shipments. I am beyond upset with the way this whole situation is being handled. This store does not care and contends that I was the one at fault. I do not recommend using this franchise if you wish to have your packages arrive in one piece, or in my case, arrive at all.

I just returned from the UPS Store on Grand Avenue, and although I seldom write reviews I decided I would in this case because of the outstanding service I received. I had 2 large items to be packaged and shipped. There was young guy working there who offered to carry the items from my car, and a woman who was so competent and knowlegable about shipping services that it made what could have been complicated very easy. I left feeling how nice it is to use a store where the people are helpful and friendly. I highly recommend this UPS Store.

Last minute deliveries go through here — the people that work here are extremely helpful and also very nice.
Anything from small-​large envelopes and any other delivery option you need– they have it. It’s located right next to the corner gas station. They also have fancier envelopes and whatnot.

I was in quick need for some documents and was on my way to another notary in the area when I happened on this one. The lady that was the notary was with a customer, and was the only one there, but was very polite and let me know she would help as soon as she finished with the current customer.
We only waited about 5 minutes before she was able to help us and she was quick and knowledgeable.
I will definitely be going back for the notary services.

I haven’t written a Unilocal review in a long time but had to come out of retirement for these… I could write pages about my experience yesterday but suffice it to say that I left this store shaking in rage, no package sent (and after 20 minutes of circling looking for a parking space and hauling my unwieldy but precious package under my arm for blocks), whereas 35 minutes later (including driving time) I walked out of the FedEx shipping center in Emeryville with a huge smile on my face (seriously, what lovely people), package safely wrapped and shipped, and *glad* to have spent additional money to not be treated like an animal in the process (by the short older man who appears to run the Oakland place). The two experiences could not have been more different.
If you have a delicate and expensive package that you care deeply about that needs to be wrapped and don’t want to be ripped off in the process (and YES, FedEx was $ 10 *cheaper* to wrap, although I’m guessing more expensive to ship)… save yourself stress, trouble and *rage* and don’t go here. Even if you need to catch a ride, hitch, take the bus, whatever. How much are the moments of your life worth? I personally value every minute of mine… I hate to flame a business with broad strokes, but the woman who works here stood by on mute during my ordeal. I have to exempt the young, male assistant who was very sweet and tried his best to overcome the douchery taking place in the rest of the store. You’ve been warned. Don’t do it. I don’t think I’ll even be able to walk by this store anymore without first crossing the street… Good luck.

I been to many stores but I only like this place to drop-​off my packages. The lady in the store is very nice and friendly. She is very helpful. I saw her whenever I came in !

I’ve almost always had a pretty decent experience here. The staff are (were?) great at customer service, and although the line sometimes move slow, that’s understandable since packages are being whisked around the globe: the customer service is why I keep coming back.
Well that’s changed.
I mailed an overnight package ³⁄₁₅ — and paid more than $ 100 for it to arrive on time. It didn’t. I found this out by checking
, which said the package was voided. (Although the UPS store had my phone and email, they did not contact me.)
When I called the store the representative for an explanation, she said it was somehow left behind. She apologized and said it went out the next day at no charge. … Alas, I *was* charged. So now I’ve paid $ 100+ for a package that was left behind, then was mislead by the sales staff who couldn’t take the time to contact me.
Umm, FedEx?

I got a friendly voicemail today telling me the package that I had delivered to this UPS store instead of my home address was ready to picked up. I ran there after work in excitement and was greeted by a friendly staff who got me in an out really fast! I couldn’t expect anything better.

I just learned an expensive lesson. Do not have your packages shipped to this store, even if your vendor suggests it. They charge $ 10 per package. I just paid $ 30 to retrieve three boxes. All they did is hold the boxes for an hour until I picked them up. Nobody warned me in advance of this fee – not the vendor and not UPS. From reading the reviews it is clear that this store’s business model is to gouge customers at every opportunity. I agree with David L.‘s review: «Do not use this store for any service.»

Really, really bad. Just had a horrible experience in this store (as have many others, apparently). I brought in a duffel bag that needed to be shipped, well aware that it needed to be boxed before it went out. So, they took the bag from me, boxed it up, taped it, and we went through the label creation process. Then they told me that it would be $ 62. Okay, pricey, but it needed to get there, so fine. Then I swipe my credit card, look at the receipt, and I was just charged $ 82. I ask why the extra $ 20 charge. For the box. Yup, a $ 20 box. Which is then when I’m told «It’s the UPS Store, of course things are going to be marked up.» Huh. Interesting. You know that this is a ridiculous price, you don’t tell me what you’re going to charge me, you package everything up, and then decide that it’s time to tell me that I bought a $ 20 cardboard box. Really, really poor business practices. When I asked why I wasn’t told the price beforehand, I was told «you’re the customer, you should have asked». Um, okay. What ever happened to customer service? So I refuse to sign the receipt, refuse to pay, am told that I can’t get a refund, and will have to call my credit card company. Fine.
After a lovely call with my credit card company (love Amex!), I got the charge figured out, and headed straight over to the Private Mailbox & General Store (per the advice of another reviewer)
. Walked out having paid $ 6 for my box, less money for shipping, and had an amazing experience. Do yourself a favor and bring your business there instead.

I live just up the street, and I often come here to drop off pre-​paid UPS packages. Sometimes (like today) I need to purchase some shipping materials. Everyone here has always provided me with good service. I saw there were a lot of negative reviews, so I just wanted to say that they seem great to me!

This store is awesome.
UPS the corporation, to be clear, is the WORST. I sent an extremely time-​sensitive document by next-​day air on Thursday, and it has STILL not arrived. Everyone I talk to at UPS corporate HQ acts like this is no big deal, and there’s nothing that they can do to help me. They sound like the hear from unhappy customers all the time, and are totally used to it, which is a bad sign. Grrrr.
The Grand Avenue store, on the other hand, was REALLY nice about the mixup. Araceli spent hours and hours on the phone trying to arrange special Saturday delivery for me. She spent so much time helping me out that she now knows my hone number by heart. She even stayed past closing on Saturday to work on my case. And even though there was nothing the Grand Ave store could do about my package, Araceli at least refunded my money without even being asked.
So I give UPS the corporation zero stars, but this particular store top marks. Thanks for being so gracious and helpful, Araceli!

Do not use this store for any service.
I went there for Live Scan service. I was helped right after a patron who was complaining and getting the brush off. That should have been enough to scare me off.
Then, they took almost two hours to bungle through my livescan. Today I get a notice from the Dept of Real Estate that they made an input error and to return to them and at no charge they are to do it again. Let me repeat, the letter is very clear they are to repeat at no charge. So, I get the brush off as they don’t want to pay for it. I am out $ 76 plus two trips and a lot of aggravation.
The guy at the counter basically said too bad, not our problem. This is not how you build a business or maintain a franchise.
To you, UPS Store at 360 Grand, my best review is my middle finger!

Had to go here to return some AT&T U-​Verse equipment.
After waiting about 10 minutes for the counter clerk to have a very nice conversation with a customer about why she wouldn’t be working there after next week, then for about ten other interuptions, they finally let me drop off my extra U-​Verse receiver.
This is why otherwise normal folks wind up in bell towers with high-​powered rifles, people!

Not sure why this place gets such low reviews. As soon as I came in the lady here (Karen) immediately welcomed me in asking if I needed anything. I dropped off my package and mentioned to her I was worried it didn’t have enough tape. She secured it with a couple more rounds of tape to my satisfaction and I was on my way!
