Ordered a second time and the rice was perfect! I also got a brownie that was very satisfying. Definitely in the lead for my go to Thai place!

Extremely disappointed with Tie Food today. My order was late by 1 hour and 30 minutes delayed. I called about 15 minutes before the order finally came and was told the driver was a minute away, meanwhile 15 minutes later the food finally arrives. When I asked the driver why so late he claimed he picked up the food about 25 minutes ago. So don’t know what happened, but I also said the food is probably cold. He said he had it in warmer or heat insulated bag. Well, the bag isn’t working the food was cold, mush and tasted mediocre. Not sure if I’ll be ordering again.

Extremely late delivery. Contacted for an updated delivery time after they were already 25 minutes late and was told 5 – 6 minutes for delivery. Another 25 minutes later food arrives. Rice orders come in a tiny container so order up. On the plus side, the meat entrees come with a scoop of rice. Curry doesn’t. Rice is mushy. Noodles are mushy. Curry is watery and doesn’t have much curry flavor. Meat entrees are just ok. Curry and soup orders come in small containers. Overall, lots of veggies because they put broccoli and carrots on the side. Minimal meat.

They spell it «Tie» not«Thai» as in «you will need to TIE your mouth to a glass of water after you eat here.» This food was OVERLY salted. As in the Pacific Ocean called and they want their salt back. A.K.A. I am writing this review between gulps of water. We ordered the pad Thai and yellow curry. They would have had great flavor if they only had just ¾ less salt and finished cooking the vegetables(undercooked broccoli and potatoes ain’t anyone’s jam.) As well, the food was delivered 45 minutes later, which wouldn’t have been so bad if it wasn’t a couple degrees below luke warm. Please cut the salt and invest in a portable food heater and we may talk again. Till then, I’ll be looking for another restaurant to enjoy Thai at, sans gallons of water.

Food is good. Their points program leaves a bad taste in the mouth, however. You get lots of happy feedback and reward anticipation as the points build. When enough points are accumulated to earn a $ 10 reward(right after placing an order) they are immediately deducted and a coupon is applied to your account that expires in TWOWEEKS. You have to be paying attention(they do send you an email when you earn it, but nothing when it is about to vaporize) and order from them twice in two weeks to enjoy the reward. Lame.

Isn’t this place«delivery-only»?? You’d think they have their shiitake mushrooms together, but how have they messed up the last three times I order? Scant amounts of food the first time, late ass order the second, and now the driver straight up drove to the person who«ordered before me», after beckoning my hungry self to the door via phone. Extra 20 minutes to the wait. A dude might start to think he’s not liked in this establishment.

Delivery took over one hour. Driver extremely rude. First and last time ordering from this restaurant.

Great food and fast! Wish they had a sit down restaurant. I asked to be delivered at 5:30 and talk about fast and on time. It got here at 5:24!

These folks are the best place that delivers to Mills Campus – hands down! The pumpkin curry is one of my favorites. They often overestimate how long it takes to get the food to Mills, which makes for a pleasant surprise when it arrives.

I’m gonna give an extra star here for the later night, very fast delivery and the ability to order online. But having ordered 2 or 3 times now, the food quality is really just so-so. There’s no delivery minimum but you won’t get full for 2 people without spending at least $ 22. I’ve tried the pad thai(lackluster flavor and veggies not cooked through), BBQ chicken(tasty, juicy), chicken satay(small), crab rangoon(good but not great and not sure if they travel well during delivery). Good thai tea. Great mango sticky rice! If you’re getting delivery in this area, I favor Bangkok Palace.

Ordered last night through Eat24 since this place came up on a popular list and we wanted Thai. Food was alright, but if you’re looking for an authentic place this ain’t it. It definitely seems from how the dishes were prepared that the owners do not actually know how Thai should taste. We have been to Thailand twice and eat tons of local Thai in the Bay Area and this place was the«whitest» Thai food I have ever had. First the good, the crab rangoon was one of the best I’ve had with lots of crab inside, and the delivery guy was really nice. I would def order from this place again if I had a craving for just this one thing. But… The food was tasty but we were pretty disappointed with the 2 very standard noodle dishes we ordered. They were not only unauthentic, but they also did not come as described. Pad Kee Mao should have a heavy base of basil and the one we got was mostly all carrots(?!) and almost no basil at all. It didn’t even look like Pad Kee Mao. Like, to the point that my wife was convinced she got the wrong dish when she pulled it out of the delivery bag. The Pad See Ew I ordered for myself was advertised with Chinese broccoli but what it came with was regular broccoli, which is a completely different vegetable. Turned out to be a really disappointing dish that tasted vaguely like it was supposed to. It just wasn’t really Thai food at all. This place could definitely improve by tweaking the standards a little bit to get the dishes right. Also, the selections for amount of spice are very confusing since they are listed in order as «mild, not spicy, original spicy». I really couldn’t tell whether picking«mild» or «not spicy» was going to give me the middle level of spice. Usually mild means = some spice, but the ordering was really confusing.

My food arrived rather quickly so that was great but the taste was just not up to par. Having lived in the Bay Area my entire life, I’ve had my fair share of awesome Thai food. I’m not sure how to describe it but the flavors were not authentic, bland yet salty at the same time and the chicken was chewy.

Very good place. New kind of not crappy delivery. They are revolutionizing the delivery menu to not suck and have only a couple good items. Therefore not a lot of variety but you got your basics. The noodles are excellent. The curry and stuff is aight. The satay is not good. It’s weird. No sticks. Idk. But they are my go to delivery Thai now fa Sho. Update: I ordered this when my friend was visiting and it was terrible. They changed cooks or something they’ve lost their mojo since they opened… Wah wah … Worst pad Thai I ever ordered :(

I was totally impressed. Food came quickly. I ordered basil rice with shrimp(just the shrimp was good but not great) but he flavor of the rice was excellent. Also ordered chicken satay appetizer, the pork and veggie potstickers appetizer, and the crab Rangoon appetizer. All were DELICIOUS and the potstickers and crab Rangoon they pack so that they still stay crispy. Nice touch. Yum! Will definitely be ordering again.

We have ordered here quite a few times now, food always comes super super quick and it’s always hot and fresh. This past time, they were out of something I ordered on Eat24. Nicole called me and apologized and even threw some dessert in the bag, on the house. Amazing service, we will definitely be ordering here again.

I think I’ve had Tie Food on average once a week for the last year, so this review is shamefully overdue. I developed a taste for Thai takeout in college, when one of the few late night places near me was a divey Thai restaurant. I feel like this place takes Westernized Thai comfort food and steps it up with better quality ingredients and preparation. Most importantly, they package the food well so that when it gets to you, it’s not a congealed gummy mass of noodles which can happen a lot with Thai takeout. They are super speedy, we live near Grand Ave and usually have food within 30 minutes. I’d recommend the pumpkin or green curry and the pad see ew. I’d also recommend going through their website instead of Unilocal because you can get loyalty points and they add up quickly when you’re a piggy like me :)

Kudos on getting to my house within 45 minutes on a rainy day, but this was the blandest Thai food I’ve ever had. It was as if I never cooked a thing in my life and then tried to make pad thai and pad se yeu myself. Mind you, on a rainy day this DID hit the spot, but I had to drown it in chili paste. I would describe it as western palette friendly food.

Well, I wanted to give 4.5, but that is not an option. So, I usually round up. This place is my new all time favorite. Tasty, fresh food. The menu selection is not so wide it makes you question their ability to serve things fresh. Reasonable prices. NOMINIMUM order… Sweet! do not always want to order $ 20 or more of food. Thai Tea ~ enough said. Brown rice. Steamed Vegetables and Speedy fast delivery… I mean fast! You can order online and receive loyalty points, regular e-coupon and discounts. The delivery drivers are extra friendly too. I did; however, get stuck a couple of times without without utensils or soy sauce because you must request them. Overall, they ROCK and I will be back

I wouldn’t say this is authentic Thai cuisine but it is tasty, delivery service is usually spot on and portions are decent. You won’t have the«wow factor» just the I’m hungry, what’s quick” kind of choice… The way this place prepares their food doesn’t trigger any migraines for me. Usually my triggers are high salt and processed/treated meats. My lifestyle doesn’t give me a lot of time to cook when I’m working in the Bay Area so I rely a lot on eating out and ordering in… I have had better Thai food than this but it’s a good place for a weekday«order in» kind of meal… Not a date night«I have a craving for Thai food… I guess a better analogy for this place is like saying«Chinese food is to PF Chang’s is like«Tie Food» is to Thai cuisine… Much blander to appease less daring taste buds but prepared healthier. Their pad Thai is tasty… Not overly flavorful but still solid Their fried chicken over fried rice tastes sweet with their sauce. The rice is not greasy and kind of on the bland side but it actually«my go to» order… The sweetness of the dish balances it out. Their crab Rangoon is good. I’ve tried the pumpkin dish… It didn’t wow me. I found it too bland. Their chicken satay is a must! Good portions of an appetizer… I would just get that as a meal. It’s lean and flavorful. Their pad see ew is solid… I gave the 5 stars for food quality, portions, and service. My choice in Thai cuisine is more flavorful and spicy which this place is not… But this place will satisfy more of the less daring taste buds.

Pirat and his staff at Tie Food were extremely apologetic about the last incident, and I certainly held no grudge. He offered to comp my next meal and eventually I took him up on the offer. When I called in to redeem my replacement meal, I was told that I had a $ 20 credit. This was fair since my first order was that much. I ordered the pumpkin curry, pork larb, boneless chicken fingers and the sticky rice with mango. It was about $ 35 of food and I gave my CC to pay the balance. When my delivery came, I was sort of surprised to see that the delivery person was the girl who’s hair might have been in my food last time. She was very pleasant, but it was a bit awkward. The pumpkin curry was a bit sweet for me. The larb was okay, it was even better as a left over taco the next day. The fried chicken and the sticky rice were excellent. Tie Food graciously comped my entire meal, though I was more than happy to have paid the balance(around $ 15). Their ordering system is pain free whether it is online or over the phone. Deliveries come promptly. Their service is very responsive. Closed Sundays.
