True Faith Baptist Church

I have been going to the Wednesday night bible study there for about 9 months, and it doesn’t get any better! True Faith is a bible reading based, smaller church, no frills, not a lot of traditional «churchy-​ness» which I love and appreciate… you WON’T hear the preacher beg for money (I don’t think I’ve even seen a collection plate there!) The majority of people here are probably under 40 – 45, the music is lively, the Sunday sermons are spirit provoking and exciting. You can get a cd of the sermon for next to nothing…
The bible study is AMAZING!
Its begins as an open forum for anyone to ask a question the pastor will do his very best to give an answer within the scriptures and even it means drawing you a chart, or breaking down the english-​hebrew-​greek languages. He then has a short study, giving out lots of reference scriptures (yes!), slogans, acronyms, spiritual definitions and thought provoking questions (which I love, I scribble them down, text, post, status update, etc…) Before closing in prayer, the pastor selects a controversial topic to discuss, engage us in. It’s REFRESHING to hear good word still being pondered and preached from the pulpit, no long boring sermons here, most of the time people request that he keep teaching/​stay later…
The monthly women’s meeting is similar to the bible study format with contrast comparison on how today’s women/​motherhood is –vs.-bible based woman roles and how they work or don’t work for us. These insights and studies are enlightening, powerful and have caused me to have a new appreciation and understanding of what it means for me to be a woman.
This Pastor KEEPS IT REAL bottom line! He preaches, real, inconvenient truths straight from the bible, real issues we face AND the ones we don’t like to talk about (more often than not) The preaching/​teaching/​praying/​prophesying is anointed and spirit led. He may have some spiritual insight that you may or may not be ready to hear. It’s about growth and triumph over sin by any means at True Faith. More than a few times, several times matter of fact, I have gone to service and heard the pastor say/​preach/​teach about something that I have been going through or highlighted in my bible or specifically been praying about down and every time it seems unbelievable!
The pastor is contemporary, direct, unconventional, raw, educated, earnest and sincere in wanting people to really get spiritual breakthroughs and know God for themselves; He is accessible, and transparent about his own shortcomings, church business… etc., He’ll get to know your name and probably call on you to answer, he will listen to your dreams, problems, wins and losses and cheer you on while teaching you to give God the praise for any lesson, blessing, trial or triumph. The Pastor is kind of like a biblical life coach…
It is so SAD to hear people interpret the bible as misogynistic; The Pastor does NOT hate women! lol and I have never seen him speak to a cross! lol. All of the men at the church have been nothing less than courteous, respectful, kind and encouraging… not what you would expect from misogynists… right? Do you go into a nail shop and accuse them of trying to stab you because you came to get a manicure and they clipped your nails???
You cannot review a church like you would a restaurant or a nail shop; I prayed and still pray about where I need to be. My spiritual life, my own journey with God, my faith, my belief, all have grown exponentially since attending… I have only gone to a few Sunday services, I don’t participate much, I don’t give a whole bunch of money, I rarely even talk to anyone there, I go in a lil late and leave right after, HOWEVER I’ve gotten answers and revelations to very personal issues, that have plagued me for YEARS so

The Pastor speaks the Word at all levels for understanding. The congregation is youthful and are blessed people.
Visit to get the Word and assemble yourself with like Gods worshippers.

I recently stumbled across the review for my church. I was very disappointed with the assessment as posted. This is the first church that have ever attended where in actually understood the sermon. Not only did I understand it, it challenged me to change my life as result. I have been to many churches that were founded on theatrics and emotional antics.
Paul wrote himself that he must look to the cross daily. I’m certain the above written article was the result of the lack of biblical knowledge.
What modern time church is able to capture and maintain the interest of young people. We should take caution in our depiction of God’s Man and the place of edifice that he has ordained. You may be the reason someone misses a vital opportunity to meet the Messiah. This is an outstanding ministry. I thank God daily for it!

I visited this church a couple of times and I really liked the fact that there was so much youth involvement. Their bible study was really fun and the music was awesome. I found the pastor to be very interesting… he thought/​thinks that he can read people (see their future or know what type of person they are) and not asking much questions about things. He also seemed pretty arrogant to me and that is not Godly. I also noticed that sometimes in church he would speak to a cross that is on his podium as if the cross is God/​Jesus himself and that does not sit right with me. I have not checked but I would assume that such acts would resemble «idolatry.» I am in no position to judge ANYONE or ANYTHING because I am not God. I thank God for the time that I did spend visiting that church and I pray that they will stick more closely to what the Bible says and mimic their lives around the Word of God not their own thoughts.
