Wow. My sister and I walked past and really loved the«Sweet dreams and sweet deals» sale sign(pretty hilarious, right?) and were on the market for a pillow, and wandered in. We ended up staying for an hour talking about philosophy and life with Carl and felt infinitely wiser upon walking out — so amazing!!! On top of that, the pillow, a synthetic fibre one, was probably the best pillow I have ever slept on. So, thank you Carl and Warm Things!

Not fabulous, but not terrible either… Nice sales staff; so-so product. I bought two down pillows and two pillow protectors on impulse. Can see dark feathers in the the«pure white down» pillows… The covers(although both say«standard») are two different styles and sizes…(They assured me they were identical…) This is really more of an outlet; items seem random, quality is variable, seem like seconds. If you shop around you can find better deals on first quality merchandise. Be advised that they will not accept returns. State law.

Very happy with the 2 pillows I purchased here(one a higher end down and the other a mid-range synthetic). Customer service was great. I’ll go back!

I’ve bought several comforters, duvet covers, sheet sets, and extra pillow cases in this store over the last year and a half. But I find their sales practices off-putting. The comforters seem to be always on a double sale(there is a supposed regular price, then a supposed sale price, then the actual sale price … usually called something like«fall sale price» or «spring sale price».(The store clerk confirmed that to me a year ago.) Knowing this, when I was in the market for yet another comforter, I checked their prices online(Amazon and their own website), confirmed the current«spring sale price» and presented their 25% off coupon: which clearly states«25% off the sale price». They refused to honor their coupon. So, just be warned that their pricing seems to be a bit of a game … if you like that sort of thing, than you might be ok here. I don’t, so I’m not going back.

Went there to get a pillow. The man working there was friendly and very helpful, and found me the right one on the first try. And it cost less than the last two. I’m on my third try for a good pillow, and will never buy one online again, since you have no idea what you’re getting, can’t feel it and can’t get advice or try it out. The service was super fast, which is a huge plus. Hate shopping.

I got such a nice comforter here, a Queen sized mid-weight down number that is serving me very well. I like to touch and feel the comforter I’m buying, so online shopping wasn’t an option. Such a random location, but pretty convenient if you are running other errands. It’s not very pretty, or well lit, or heck, laid out to display the product, but it is an outlet, and the deals abound. The shop has a bit of an odd odor, i will say that– is is all the feathers? I don’t want to dwell on that matter. That’s the only negativo in an other wise plush, and value laden shop on College.

Given the numerous business closures on College Ave. recently, I wanted to support a local business when it came time to buy bedding for my 2 kids. So, I headed down to Warm Things. All went well until I actually brought the stuff home. The prices are good but the quality of what I bought is not worth the discounted price. Our down comforters are leaking feathers everywhere and ALL the buttons have fallen off the 2 duvets we bought, after using them for only 1 month.(And we are not particularly hard on our bedding!) When I went in today to see what they could do about the buttons(of which I could only find 2 after they fell off), the woman working said«why don’t you just sew them back on?». I don’t know… I would just expect better service than that. The buttons shouldn’t really fall off in the first month, should they? I was kind of hoping they’d offer to sew them back on for me. Anyway, I didn’t want to cause any sort of scene so I just said, OK, do you have extra buttons as I lost most of them. She couldn’t find any and said she’d have a manager call me. So I went home and spent an hour hand sewing a bunch of mis-matched buttons on to the 2 duvets. So AS I AM writing this email the lady from Warm Things calls and says they are going to look me up in the computer and then a manager is going to call me and then if I bring the duvets back in they’ll mail them to San Rafael and fix them. This is too much of a hassle for me and will require me to be without duvets for too long.(Kind of defeats the purpose of shopping locally if the product still needs to be mailed elsewhere for service) So, I’m going to leave it at that and likely not shop here again. I really wanted to love this little shop. It’s just not to be.

It was time to replace my pillows. I found some great deals on four down pillows and a fabulous feather bed. The lady who helped me made things very confusing, but in the long run everything worked out, and I had a great nights sleep. Cozy, cozy. Glad I put a lot of time on the meter.:)

No frills outlet type store with great discount prices and great comforters, sheets etc. The guy who works there knows his stuff and is very friendly. They can hook you up with 800 thread count sheets, satin duvets and hotel(or better) quality comforters. The only thing they lack there is a variety of modern or fancy prints and colors. They have only basic patterns and basic colors(white, red, navy, light blue, grey). But I took care of that with a cool looking throw pillow I got across the street at this Asian furniture store(«Mirayaki», I think). Now I have«grown up» bedding to put on my «grown up» bed. I need to go back and buy a back-up set in case I have an unplanned guest come over.

We ponied up more than $ 350 for a king-sized, European goose down comforter. But it was worth it. The feathers are so soft, with no rough feather quills sticking out like you get with cheapo down comforters. Come here rather than buy online so that you can squeeze the different grades of down to find the perfect type/warmth. The store is like a closet, no frills, but we were in and out in 10 minutes so it suited our needs just fine.

Got the most AMAZING European white goose down comforter, and found a lovely last-of-its-kind pale green comforter cover, all for half of what they would have cost had I not bought them at the Warm Things Outlet. They also have slippers and robes(good gift ideas) in addition to all kinds of bedding. The saleswoman was very helpful. Check out too! It might be easier to browse there than in the tiny store(though feeling the textures and warmth in person makes a huge difference).
