We had a wonderful experiencing having Mayline as our engagement and wedding photographer. Her rates are incredibly reasonable (especially for our area) and her kind, laid-​back, and warm personality put us greatly at ease as she snapped away. She gives great direction to help arrange you for portraits, and does a great job capturing candids as well. The quality of photos and her ability to capture the emotions of the wedding day were wonderful. We had some silly/​random ideas for shots we wanted to take and she was always game. She’s responsive in communication, generally 12 – 36 hours for email responses, and didn’t leave us hanging. Payment and logistics were pretty easy. She was worth every penny and more, I’d hire her again for a second and will definitely be recommending her widely to friends in the DMV.

Mayline did an absolutely stunning job with our engagement and wedding photos! She is wonderful to work with and is very flexible. I was surprised when we got our wedding photos back exactly 4 weeks later — for the quantity of photos we had and the quality of each one, I was definitely not expecting them that soon! She has a great eye and captured some amazing moments from our wedding, and I especially love all the detail shots she took. I highly recommend her!

Mayline took my Senior year prom photos and that was a big deal for my group. She came on time and was very friendly to everyone. She has such an eye for the great moments that happened during that time, and it has surpassed anything I could have asked for especially with the price she charged. She definitely has a talent!

Mayline Yu Photography exceeded our expectations. After viewing her website and portfolio, I was immediately surprised by how little she charged for her services. (I personally think she should charge at least 1500 — 2000 more than she does.) Even from her portfolio, I saw that her strength was definitely capturing moments and emotion while preserving color and atmosphere — this was the type of photographer I wanted for my wedding.
The day of the big day, Mayline was punctual and extremely pleasant to have around. Multiple guests also commented on how kind she was during every interaction.
Throughout the ceremony, I honestly did not even notice her around but was amazed by the shots she was able to capture after seeing them! My husband and I are both unfortunately awkward humans; on top of that, we weren’t able to fit ceremony décor & reception uplighting into our budget. Given these constraints, the photos came out amazingly. The group photos we scheduled were not nearly as awkward looking as I thought they were while having them taken, and she really captured the fun, emotion, and joy during our big day.
Everyone told me about how the big day will fly by, and it really did! Thanks to Mayline’s photos, I will be able to re-​live this special day. These photos allows me to savor each special moment and indulge in an overwhelming sense of gratitude over our beloved community. My husband and I cannot be more pleased with these photos and would recommend Mayline Yu Photography to anyone who wants to beautifully capture the most special moments in life.

Everyone in my family questioned why I needed a professional photographer for my baby shower. now that we have the pictures back they get it! Mayline did a wonderful job at really capturing candid moments as well as posed pictures of our guests… and she was very inconspicuous, too… I had no clue she was capturing some of the things I saw in our gallery. I’m happy that we decided to have her share in our special day. Thanks!

Mayline has taken family photos for us on a couple occasions now and each time we have been thoroughly impressed with the finished product! She seems to be able to capture details and moments that you would miss in real life but look back on and instantly remember where you were when the photo was taken. She is fast, has great ideas, and generally has a laid back attitude when shooting, which makes the whole experience easy and natural. It definitely comes out in the photos!
